    Affiliation Terminated?
I checked my mail with CJ & saw this:
We regret to inform you that the Commission Junction advertiser jockey.com has chosen to expire its affiliation with you effective 20-Mar-2006.

If you would like to locate another advertiser in the network to partner with, login to your Account Manager and visit the Get Links tab.

    Best Regards,

    Client Services
    Commission Junction
    Why would that happen?

    What should I do?

sometimes this is caused by a (usually new) AM who is trying to prove something to his employers by increasing the EPC there.

the merchant always has the option of outing affiliates who produce below a certain level. there are many excuses possible.

most here would advise you to promote their competition instead, but if you were showing some business and wish to, you can contact the AM and tell them how you're going to send them more business. Sometimes that's all it takes.

    Personally, I just move on.

    What should I do?
You can always sing that song:
I'm Not Wearing Underwear Today Lyrics
    Brian:
    I'm not wearing underwear today,
No im not wearing underwear today
    Not that you probably care
    Much about my underwear
Still none the less i gotta say
That im not wearing underwear today
    Christmas Eve: Getta Job!
    Brian: Thank you..hunnie?

Think of it as just another skidmark on the road of life.

Ever hear the expression, "Put your big girl panties on and deal with it?"

Anyway, sorry you lost your shorts, but you can buy your tightey-whities and boxers at Amazon, you know.

    Good luck!

I've had a couple of those for no reason other than that the merchant was leaving CJ within a couple of weeks. It didn't say anything about the merchant leaving in the email, but that's how it turned out. That's how they seem to do it.

That's most likely the reason, thanks

The termination doesn't really rock my boat over because I think Jockey was a merchant I signed up with way back but I never really used past perhaps a banner. I just didn't like opening my CJ mail to see an unexpected termination. I also have teamed up with just about every lingerie/underwear merchant I can get a hold of.
Sometimes joining merchants is also like playing slots.

Once I was terminated by a jeweler on LS who didn't have as many individual product pictures as I had hoped for, and whose jewelry prices were skyrocket high.
I did try to promote this jewelry merchant, but he was very arrogant when I e-mailed him after being terminated ... funny thing, when I search for new merchants on LS that merchant shows up for me (again) but I don't feel like playing yo-yo games.
I promote merchants in "static pages" and in blogs (on my server).
I'll never forget when I placed an individual black pearl necklace on a blog that had a chat/tag box.
A good internet friend simultaneously wrote that Overstock had a similar necklace for sale at a way lower price (I had not yet joined overstock at the time).
Had that chat/tag box post not been from a friend, I would have deleted it, but I saw humor in the whole situation and decided to join Overstock
If you can't beat them, join them

Like CoCo B. Ware used to say, it be's dat way sumtimes.

Some merchants on CJ will put up an "offer" once in a while, and then terminate several days after you "accept". JJ Kent does this over and over and over.

Others will reject you in the first place, and then a few days later will make the "offer".

The good news is that there's plenty of other fish in the sea. Underwear merchants are the last ones who can afford to be picky, especially when their distributors offer lower prices than their own "official" site does.

    Thanks Chocolate Chicken.

Once I applied to Halloween Only and was rejected outright.
    I couldn't believe I got rejected
Later right in the middle of October I got accepted -- that whole scenario took away some enthusiasm.

Ah, more Canadians. I think it's the success of Canadian affiliates that have the exchange rate down to 11%.

    So cut it out
