Can anyone suggest what stores I should put on my main shopping page? I have the catagory pages like mens, womens, kids and so on but my main page gets the most traffic and doesn't do much. Right now I have walmart, kmart, toysRus, eddie bauer, paul fredericks and a couple others. None of which seem to do much if not anything at all. What would be your choices for just a general shopping page. Would Spiegle?? This is giving me a head ache trying to find the right ones.

I dont know what type of shopping mall you have, but I heard that Crucialtechnology does pretty good. (computer stuff) He is here on the boards somewhere.

Highlight some special deals at those merchants. Don't just keep adding advertisers hoping something will click.

Coupons, sales, discounts, gift ideas. That will catch their eyes and get them interested. It might also keep them coming back when they are in the shopping mood since they will know they can find the latest deals at your site.

Look in the merchant links for buttons highlighting the latest and greatest deals, preferable links the advertisers keep updated so you do not have to worry about it.

Try some places without bricks-and-mortar stores or catalogs. Have a little exclusivity!

That's not to say to have the "expensive" kind of exclusivity--I mean, make it so that people cannot "shop around" at your site, and then go BUY at a physical store!!!

Pick things where the people can walk around the mall until their feet fall off and never find them. Then enjoy the pop in sales after the malls close, they come back frustrated, and then remember your site.

Of course, finding exactly which items people will want that fit that description is still up to you

Thanks Monstrphil, Jimbo and Leader! All good advise. I think Ill try like ya's said. Maybe a couple of giftshops with a couple of biggy names and a product or 2 that might be hard to find or of interest.

I think they all want ink Leader, lmao.

Big Chuck and Gordon. My visitors trust me and my links. Jeeeesh, I'd be getting hate mail if I sent them to your sites.

    Thanks for the offers though.
