    CJ accounting?
Up to these last few days I had around $300 locked since November from one merchant, The Beer Machine.
Last week I made a sale with a $28.00 commission.
Today, the merchant is deactivated, AND MY MONEY IS GONE.
No more commissions in locked or extented status, just gone.
What kind of accounting is that?
Where do I find my missing commissions in their shitty reporting?

    Thumbs down
ordinarily when I find a merchant to be freshly deactivated I wait a few days, even more sometimes before removing their links. but with a history with you like that I'm going to figure they are not paying you or CJ and have been booted with finality.

Well, I knew it was coming. The money lost is not a big deal but I'm not happy with the way CJ is handling that:
Why do they extend credit to a merchant 4 months before deactivating them?

And the merchant is still recruiting affliates.

Shareasale handles this issue very good. They pay their affiliates the sales even if the advertiser is booted for non payment, I'm not sure, but its written in their policies.

A long time ago, CJ had escrow accounts with their merchants. It was one of their strong points compared to LinkShare. I guess good things don't last. ShareASale offers the best protection, no money, no click. They are fast to deactivate their merchants.

Just a tip if you don't want to lost your commissions like me, have a look in your Commission Summary for locked Commissions just after the payment around the 20th. If the commissions are not paid and still locked, it means there's a problem. It's better to care care of it asap, after 120 days, your transactions dissapear from the reports.
