finding super affiliates to market a program
Hi, I am going to be a new merchant affiliate for a real estate program and I wanted to know the best way of finding super affiliates.

I see there is bunch of software that they claim is easy to find them, but before I buy anything I wanted to check with you experts out there.

What's best way for me to find 5-10 really good affiliates, people who will spend lot of money promoting my product and I will handsomely reward them.

    Thanks

Many super-affiliates will choose which products to promote, based on their knowledge of what converts well. Knowing who they are doesn't mean that you can get them to promote you - they might need convincing...

For example, I won't promote inkjet cartridges!

That's very ambiguous, it's not clear whether you'll be an affiliate looking for "sub-affiliates" to be under you, or a merchant.

There's a world of difference between the two. Which is it?

Probably the most effective way would be to advertise on the most popular affiliate forum. If you have a good, clean, high-paying program, the super-affiliates will be receptive. If not, no amount of advertising will be effective.

Why do you want affiliates to, "spend lot of money promoting my product". Quality affiliates earn good money without spending one cent. Also change your attitude when it comes to affiliates, affilites earn their money, they are not looking for a merchant who "will handsomely reward them." From the sound of your post you are basically looking for affiliates to spend money on PPC programs to promote your program. Do you spend your own $$$ on PPC, whats the ROI, EPC???

So then, you're not the merchant delivering the goods/services, right? Rather, "your product" is delivered to customers by means of you having an affiliate relationship, with the actual merchant you have a relationship with as an affiliate being the party who delivers the "product" to the end customer.

Is that correct? You are an affiliate, not the merchant who end customers pay? Right?

In that case, you are an affiliate who gets paid by the actual merchant and want sub-affiliates to send you traffic to send to the merchant you have an affiliate relationship with, for which the merchant pays you commission. .

Is that correct? How are you paying, is it per click? And how do you intend to provide tracking so that sub-affiliates can monitor activities and payments?

I'm asking redundantly to be able to get an accurate picture of how this is supposed to work, since it hasn't been made clear yet whether you're actually a merchant looking for affililates, or are an affiliate yourself, not a merchant.

I am a merchant, not an affiliate. I have my own product I'm launching and I need people to market it for me.

On another note, are their affiliate marketers/managers that will manage my program for NO monthly fees, rather they get a % of the revenue. I'm not talking about CJ and places like that, I'm talking about real managers who will bust their ass off finding super affiliates and related but non competitive websites that could sell my products, make reccomendations in newsletters, articles...

You'll find at least several dozens of qualifying AMs and OPMs at this very forum.

Sounds like a question I've seen asked and answered elsewhere.

Not for a percentage of a commission. You gotta learn to invest if you are really serious about reaping results.

Super affiliates are already making plenty with proven programmes, they are already very busy by definition.

You seem to be seeing this from the wrong side, they have more to offer you than you have to offer them.

Your programme is brand new, no track record as I see, the actual product itself (which seems rather vague) is tainted with Real Estate and your mentioning of people spending money on your behalf and a mention you made somewhere of an email marketing campaign.

Now I'm thinking "Real Esatate + Spend my money + email marketing + no track record = "

You need to build the programme and talk about what you have rather than what you intend to do. You need to approach affiliates in your niche and grow them to be superaffiliates.

It's like my starting a new car dealership from scratch and asking how to attract the best salespeople to me with nothing to entice them.

I say advertise your program on Abestweb . If you advertise here, you will get lots of viewers who can examine your site and decide for themselves if it is something that fits their target audience. There are several testimonials from happy advertisors you can view for yourself.

In addition, I would also suggest you hire someone to find your niche group of affiliates. It is doubtful, with a new site, that many affiliates will bother with adding your links unless someone they trust, can 'sell' it to them. Someone like Andy would be worth their weight in gold to you. Too many 'new' merchants fold up like a ship in the night leaving affiliates high and dry, most seasoned affiliates think about all angles, not just what they are getting paid, but if the company can be trusted to pass on to their site visitors, and IF they will get paid!

I can only speak for myself, but i get so many calls from people with new sites that leave long drawn out messages about how they are going to 'make me rich' , I don't even answer my phone anymore.

The above poster is right, the affiliates who run you are going to do YOU a favor, not the other way around. You should welcome any affiliate who has a site you feel can represent your brand. If they don't sell for you, guess what? Free advertising for you, so why be picky?

Most folks have so many merchants listed already, they have to pick and choose if anyone else will be added to the mix. Therefore, your first approach should be the best approach, and that is by hiring an established, trusted manager, IMHO.

To the point. Would you be willing to pay an affiliate manager a basic $5,000 month to promote your program, if not you are wasting a lot of AM's time. Also you might want to mention your program.

Sounds like you need to do some reading and research here on ABW Andrew. If you are willing to invest the time to learn how to run an affiliate program correctly you may start to understand why you need to pay someone a decent salary to do it for you if you are unable to do it yourself.

Tomorrow's Super Affiliate could be today's newbie.

    Rhesus Monkey Cloning Service
I'm looking for affiliates to promote our new service providing cloned rhesus monkeys. We'll also freeze your existing pet rhesus monkey cryogenically and give you up to three cloned copies of it per year - that way, if you have any trouble with your monkey and need to replace it at any time, we do so at no cost. And your original monkey is preserved for posterity, for even you great grandchildren to enjoy, from his deep frozen home.

Oh and... we also retrain your rhesus monkey to MAKE YOU RICH BUYING AND SELLING REAL ESTATE as well as making sure it knows how to fill pill bottles with VIAGRA and PRESCRIPTION PAIN MEDS.

    Any takers?

Oh and hey... if you know any affiliates that cater to individuals with a flair for the expensive, I appreciate any help for promoting (without mentioning my off-topic posts to my very serious superiors). Not to distract from monkey cloning, or anything.
