lots of good traffic. impressions and hits recording. no sales

When this happens I go straight my editor and hammer out 10 more web pages, hoping that somehow I might decrease no sales days in the future. Of course, I thought that 2 months ago on no sales days, and I'm still having NO SALES DAYS! arghhhhh!

BigChuck, don't hammer out 10 new web pages, hammer out 5 new sites, then at least you're bound to have sales on at least a couple of them..works for me

Big Chuck, the saying goes if it's broke fix it. It sounds like maybe your sites need revamped to increase the clickthroughs. Or you need to do what Mouse Jockey suggested and build new sites. I never add to the sites I already have up. I might make some new changes and rearrange some things. But if the site is not selling in the first place, don't waste time adding more pages. Either fix what you already have to make it more appealing or design some new sites and maybe venture into some new markets. Diversify baby - Diversify!!!

Sales are coming in. I have a bunch of pages ready to go with this next update, and I am now starting to turn up in other se's first page results, i.e. alatavista, msn, etc.

I guess we all have our slow periods. I have 50 megs of space with both of my sites, and I have only used 2-3 percent on each. There is still a lot of realestate to build on, so thats why I think in term of pages. I make product pages that are "one hit wonders" - searchers find 'em, and hopefully they buy. I hope they don't spend a lot of time browsing my web site, as I want them to just pull put the ol' cc and do what they hopefully came to do - lol!

    Big Chuck--

Glad to see some sales came in for you!

As for no-sale days, it took me a looonng time (over a year!) to get to where I have gone quite a while with no, no-sales days.

And I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that Ultimate Sale Killer is coming in a couple of months:

    The Olympics

Everyone was too busy watching that the last time (Summer 2000) to order much...hopefully I have enough pages up now to sell things anyway!

A "bad" day now is 3-4 sales totalling less than $50. Of course, if googler frowns on me life will go back to a good day being that  . Okay, gotta get outta here and diversify.

Hmmmm, I am experiencing a no sale period too.

This past week my traffic has gone up and also the CTR has risen from 2.7% to 3.46%. This is all very targeted traffic that I am talking about. But nothing has changed in reference to sales.

Did CJ turn off the sales switch for me again? Please turn it on. Please, please, please.

    Chuck,

Those cards and letters with money will just keep coming if you keep on doing what you are doing...somedays are better than others and since lots of merchants batch, sometimes the orders show up a day or two later.

Nutrisystem really smokes in January, when people get on the scale and it says 'no elephants allowed' and they swarm to weight loss mode.

My sales are up for CJ merchants and the 4 performers at BF. Traffic to most all my client's sites and EcomCity is way up over the last 30 days...so the shoppers are out there. Linkshare's major players are a complete flop this whole Christmas season and major weeding will take place on Jan 1st, since I see my revenue goes up when I perform surgery on Traffic eating non-closers within various shopping categories.

Hell www.suspenders.com ( a client) has gotten double the page views ( over 2500/day) and they close 1 out of every 10 unique visitors regardless of source. We're talking 10% closure ratio here folks...maybe Sal will give me a Christmas bonus. I might put them back into the affiliate world after the Christmas rush. The get 18% of their traffic from bookmarks...so design for noche' product bookmarks not just PPC keywords. Good luck and hopefully the fallout won't be as severe as 1st quarter of Y-2001 when 700 affiliate enabled merchant's bit the big one.
