Anyone else having a tough time getting feeds today?
    Hi!
I was able to pull a couple of feeds this afternoon, but then suddenly, tonight I logged in and all the files to the merchants I have cannot be accessed - is there something going on that I don't know about?
My IP address is the same
    nothing's changed -- I can't figure it out.

Hoping someone might know what's going on....

Every feed I try to download only contains this:

ERROR: multiple Merchandiser files requested simultaneously. Only one file can be downloaded at a time.

I'm not trying to request multiple feeds simultaneously.

Feeds are downloading fine again for me today. I use Snib's php script to pull them to my server.

    Heidi,
Can you tell me what this snib's php script is? I'm curious to learn....
    I pull them via telnet...
I guess the old fashioned way!

It can be set up to run via cron job also.

    LS Moderator,

Any clue as to what the problems are?

By the way, you all back in town? You've been noticeably absent here at ABW.

    Figured it out
    Hi everyone,
    Hope this will help you.
Recently I went into my account (a few weeks back) and updated account information. Tax ID, etc..
However, for some reason, LInkshare kept telling it wouldn't validate it (or rather that it couldn't validate)...I contacted linkshare and they told me, "Don't worry about it. We're aware and it's no biggie - leave as is".

So I did - but after so long, for some reason, it would not accept my e-mail address either....so I had to change it from my domain mail to my personal mail, change back my settings in account with my own ss number....and then I was able to download feeds again.

    Very strange.....

So be careful when you update account info - it could freeze you from downloading.

Thanks for your help so quickly - or at least trying to. ;-)

    Michael,
It sounds like you are getting this error because the server shows more than one session active for your login. There is no system issue that causes this error. If are still having problems, please do the following:

    1) Close all running FTP sessions
    2) Log in to the FTP account manually(not using any script)
    3) Download one file
    4) Note the IP address connected from AND the time (and time zone) of the login
    5) Email merchandiser-a@linkshare.com with the information so one of our tech reps can look into it further.

    All,
When some affiliates have problems and others are not having problems, it can be difficult to suggest solutions here on ABW. In this case, I suggest that you contact Affiliate Support at merchandiser-a@linkshare.com. Be sure to include a copy of the log and description of the problem.

    Ranae,

I have no FTP sessionis running. I've logged in manually and get the same error. I emailed merchandiser-a at linkshare.com yesterday, but haven't received a response. I'll email again with my IP address and time.

It probably should be clarrified for newbies that the email address Ranae gave above would be only if you are having support problems with the merchandiser feeds (I suggest that you contact Affiliate Support at merchandiser-a@linkshare.com.). That email address is NOT the usual support email address.

Ranae, correct me if I am wrong, but I thought this was the correct and sure want to avoid confusion.

    Hope this information helps!

You know, that would be a great post for a sticky (whatcha think, moderators).

Also, I'd like to see that info come up from some link at the LS site. I just logged to see what is available, and when I click on the HELP box, there is not a single link to support or how to get support. Perhaps we can get this info up there for folks, too?
