    Any Hockey Fans Out There?
It's coming close to the end of the regular season in the NHL and there are quite a few great teams out there.

I personally am a Leafs fan but the way they are playing this year I don't think they will win the cup. The team that I would like to see win it all is Calgary. They were so close last year they deserve it.

I would like to hear what team everyone else is cheering for and who they think will win the cup.

We are hoping here in Calgary! It's pretty tight right now. We made some bad trades last year.

I think the Sens will take it if they are healthy come Playoff time. They have so much talent and can run 4 lines with confidence. Carolina looks good too.

The thing I love about the playoffs is that it is a new season where everyone, that makes it, starts over and has a chance to win. Like the Redwings proved so many times over the past years, the regular season doesn't mean anything if you make it to the playoffs.

Should be exciting to watch playoff hockey this year with the new rules.

The only thing I want is for the Kings to NOT make it into the playoffs. My team is not going to make, so I thought that I would cheer others out.

I think it has been around 13 or 14 years since Lord Stanley's cup has been won by a Canadian team. I believe Montreal was the last in 93 or something like that. Seems you canuks are about due to see the cup again.

I don't really watch much hockey, but I came across this the other day, http://youtube.com/watch?v=ka8vIhpRtcU

and perhaps I should find my way in front of a television catching a hockey game more often.

    Wow. Quite a punch...

My Sabres are on the snide. I've never seen a team so snake bit. We had 2, count them 2! pucks stop right on the goal line tonight instead of going in.

We're on a 4 game skid, but they'll fight through it...

Doesn't look like it's gonna be that way... The Sens have more injuries then Eric Lindros... and that's a lot.

I find it hard to understand... the Leafs are still in the hunt for the final play-off spot. Several of there big names are on the IR, they are starting with a goalie who hasn't played an NHL game in 2 years and they still manage to win some how.

    Maybe there is still hope.

RE: The Leafs: Worthless bunch of hacks Actually, if they were able to play Aubin all year, that might have seen different results. Darcy Tucker better keep his head next time the Sabres are on the ice with him...

Senators: PWNd. For once. You're having the same issues the Sabres are having. Too many injuries... I don't look forward to seeing them in the playoffs.

I also hope the standings stay the way they are. I do NOT want to see the Thrashers sneak in to playoffs. Very dangerous team.

That's for sure... they have some pretty strong forwards working for them. I think if they were able to keep a healthy goalie all year they would have been the surprise team of the east.

I am originally from Detroit, so enough said there - heheh...

Hey look, say what you like about them, we endured two solid decades of misery before the Russians came to town - and that has all changed again, along with the coach.

I am still involved in the sport locally (Here in VA), so I am looking forward to enjoying another few rounds off playoffs.

That was still true when I grew up watching the Sabres in the old Memorial Auditorium in Buffalo. Everyone would stay in business attire for the night games.

Truthfully though, if you've been in many offices lately, it could be stated that people still wear their work clothes to the game...

I'm a Canucks fan, but I was cheering hard for Calgary last season
Made the trip out to Calgary from my native Vancouver for game 6 and cheered on Calgary. Party was loud and proud before the game, but the "Red Mile" was quite a bit more subdued after the Martin St. Louis OT winner.

This year I have to hope that my Canucks make the playoffs, but if they don't, I'll be cheering hard for Calgary again.

    cheers,

    William

I would like to see as many Canadian teams make the play-offs as possible. So having both Calgary and Vancouver make it would be great.

I can't believe how tight the western teams are... last I saw it was six teams fighting for 4 play-off spots, all within seven points of eachother. Normally by this time of year the post-season teams are already decided, much like in the east.

Looks like the Habs (Montreal) will sneak in between 6-8th spot in the East. Huet has 7 shut outs and only really started playing in February and is also tops in league with GAA and Save%. Trading Theodore was the best move ever...6M$/year...Theo just played his first game for COL and let in 3 goals on 16 shots or something.
