CJ in the News...Or is this old?
I read that CJ had three big affiliate managers quit over a policy that says employees can't run affiliate programs.

    Apparently this caused some contoversy...

Not sure but that is certainly a good policy. It would be a serious conflict of interest for me to work with an account rep only to have him copy my business model.

Not only that, but could it be possible that clicks and commissions are and have been re-directed to their sites. I know that there is a problem because I didn't make $1 dollar over Christmas. This could be the tip of the iceberg!

At the beginning it was good to have Network employees well trained about affiliate marketing, but as you're becoming successful you don't want them as competitors.

They were account management type CJ employees. Total access to all the clickstream stats running their own For Profit Affiliate sites. Bet they're playing the SEM game with our stats, and those of the CJ merchant pool..

If CJ or Linkshare employees are going to take advantage of the system, set up accounts under a 3rd party and keep your mouth shut...

A friend of mine about 3 - 4 years ago was making 300K because he was getting fed valuable information from Overture...

They probably just put the sites in their mother, wife's or kids names.
