Hono cats.html base and partial URLs dont work
    Hi David,
When working with Hono scripts all the pages are happy using partial URLS and base except cats.html. For this I cant use partial URLs nor base. For example

images/blah.gif will work on all the pages but I have to code /images/blah.gif on cats.html.

This is a problem for us becuase I have to recode all my js too. These js are not only used in the store but in the other pages of our site and full urls cause a problem here.

Is there something I can change in the cats.html code to cause cats.html to behave like items.html and respond to partial urls/base?

Email me and Ill give you the link if you like.

    Thank you

The SRC URL's in all <IMG> tags must start with a /

The URL "images/blah.gif" will not work (without the leading /) because the image would then be relative to the current directory rather than the root (/) directory.

As you have indicated, the solution is to add / to the image SRC URL's.

Yes, I discovered this but why doesnt base href work with cats.html? I can use base href with the other pages but not cats.html.

I cannot use absolute URLs in my code due to the way the site is designed.

    Thank you

<BASE> tag is not compatible with DySE since DySE view.pl outputs relative links. Do not use <BASE>. Make all your URL's absolute (i.e.: start with /). See documentation.

On category pages, the links generated by view.pl to product pages (and sub-categories, if any) are relative. For example, on a category page /animals/ that contains a link to bears.html, a <BASE HREF="http://www.DOMAIN.com/"> would case this relative link to go to http://www.DOMAIN.com/bears.html instead of the intended URL http://www.DOMAIN.com/animals/bears.html
