    Arrow Right way?
    Dear all,

I went thru google and what i noticed was some affiliates google ads took me to the advertisers website and some affiliate google ads took me to the affiliates own websites. If i have to drive my traffic directly to the advertisers website, what should i do? Is it ok to use the highlighted raw link as the destination url? If wrong, what should i do? Can anyone guide me in this regard.

    a href="http://www.xxxxx.com/click-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx" target="_top" img src="http://www.xxxxxx.com/image-xxxxxxx-xxxxxxx" width="160" height="400"

Thanx for your help and info.

    Hi indianaff,

Are You talking about google adwords?... If you are I don't think we are allowed to direct link to the merchants site anymore?... I think we have to build our own landing page; I could be wrong though?

    it depends on the merchant...

the first step is to talk to the merchant and make sure it's ok....or the second step might be the advertiser removing you from their program while taking your money

You don't have to drive it directly to the merchant site. Some allow direct PPC campaigns, but I've never seen any require it.

IMO it's better to drive the traffic to a landing page (with a sales pitch and/or PSC/Make-A-Page display for the products) on your own site. Often, pages on your own site will have a better conversion ratio than if you send it straight to the merchant--at least, if you have decent skills at making pages, they will outdo the merchant's direct-traffic CR...

" Please note that we will only allow one ad for affiliates and parent companies sharing the same display URL per search query."

Of course as others have said, merchants may have their own rules re; this.
