    Angry Account Suspended For Security Reasons
    Just received an e-mail from MYSELF with the following subject line: Your Account is Suspended For Security Reasons

    Well, actually it looks as if it came from an address we don't even have on our server - namely mail AT russianlegacy . com - but if my company had several thousands of employees I can almost see some of them clicking that ZIP file attached to the message.

    The text of the message reads:

    ==========================
    Dear Russianlegacy Member,

    We have temporarily suspended your email account eprussakov AT russianlegacy . com

    This might be due to either of the following reasons:

    1. A recent change in your personal information (i.e. change of address).
    2. Submiting invalid information during the initial sign up process.
    3. An innability to accurately verify your selected option of subscription due to an internal error within our processors.
    See the details to reactivate your Russianlegacy account.

    Sincerely,The Russianlegacy Support Team

    These guys will never stop from becoming more and more sophisticated (see those last notes?!) in their e-mails, will they?!

    Oh, I bet the attachment WAS nasty. I just never open anything like this. See the +++ Attachment: No Virus (Clean) in the text of the message was not by my AntiVirus, but was typed in by the spammer... Very subtle, very subtle. I can almost see how this would've worked in something as large as Nestle or any other big corporation (where in Russia, for example, people send around all sorts of forward-jokes, etc, etc)

    I get spam and attachments like that all the time, I often wonder how many people really fall for that junk. I got one the other day that spoofed my Chase credit card, it was done very good, logo and the whole nine yards. Id be willing to bet that they got some poor sole with that one.

    I'm getting these spoof e-mails all the time trying to put some nasties on my system or plant spyware and zombie bots. You seem to have gotten a personalized new best friend ... hope he chokes on his greed and malace.

    Suzi, none of my affiliates have addresses @russianlegacy.com

    Anyone else thinks an alert is necessary?

    I don't see a need to send out an alert to affiliates. If affiliates get similar spam/virii, they'll be forged to look like they're from their own domains, not from RussianLegacy.com.
