    Special Characters in Datafeeds
One of my stores (AliceAccents.com) has a lot of products that have quotes printed on them like a travel mug that says "Real Men Don't Ask for Directions". My question is: If the quotation marks are included in the datafeed, does that create a problem for the affiliates? I have never personally used a datafeed like an affiliate would so I don't know if the quotation marks might mess with the tools that are used.
And while I'm on the subject, are there any other special characters that might cause a problem?

Love the pug, Dogdecor. I have a Pug & a Puggle myself.

The quotes in your datafeed would cause a problem if the affiliate was reading the file in the traditional text in quotes fashion. In otherwords if all the test fields had quotes then the field

""Real Men Don't Ask for Directions". They get lost alot."

would present problems. One suggestion is if the quotes are part of the display text you can use the HTML escape sequence for the quote which is "

This would display as quotes on the rendered HTML page. So your feed would look like this.

""Real Men Don't Ask for Directions". They get lost alot."

and the rendered output would be

"Real Men Don't Ask for Directions". They get lost alot.

If the affiliate is not reading it as text in quotes format than there might not be any problem.

Hi DH - it's nice to meet another pug lover. Thanks for the explanation. I'll consider using the HTML escape sequence.
