Can anyone click my link below and let me know if it works. My sites been down all day. I'm just wondering if it is localized or wordlwide. Today is a good shopping day and of course it goes down. It seems a little too coincidental that this also happened the day after Thanksgiving. I am starting to think that NameSecure has a bunch of their own shopping sites or is being paid off. Grrr. If it works can ya let me know where your located. Thanks for the help.

Thanks Gordon, Vicki, Meowser, Jada, Comtek, Fish and Paula. Wow!!! Worldwide Web .

Does anyone know why it would work some places and not others. It still isn't working for me.

Sounds like a DNS server close to you is hosed up -- possibly at your service provider.

Cazzie, Comtek and Vicki. I just taked to my domain name forwarding and it seems that it is a problem with AOL and RoadRunner they seem to think. Do you have them for your provider? Could anyone here get through with RR or Aol? Grrrrr!

Cedric, sounds like what you said. Thanks!

    AOL says:

    Web Site Not Responding
The web site you have requested may be experiencing technical difficulties due to a busy or broken server.

Please try again by clicking the Reload icon on your navigation bar or, if that doesn't work, you may want to return to the site at a later time.

Packy, try accessing it with the IP address -- if that works, that's a really really good sign that it's a DNS problem somewhere.

    Thanks all.

Cedric, I couldn't reach it with the IP either. I called RoadRunner and they took the complaint order but said it can take up to 4 weeks unless I have 5 people complain. Then it becomes a nation wide problem. Its a problem on their end.

quote:
I still cannot reach your site, and yes I use RR.

Comtek, I could use a little help if you have some time. The guy told me to have 5 people call their local rr and complain that they know a site is working and that it is a road runner problem. People with rr can't connect to my sites and others. I'm not sure if it's just through NameSecure.com forwarding service or others also. If you can it would be great, if not No Problem and I mean that. If anyone else has RRunner could you also do this if you have the time. If you can you need to give the #74096 to your local tech at rr and they can pull up the order. Once 5 people do it they consider it an emergency nation wide. You have to have RR though. I have to figure a way now to get aol to check it out. I knew once aol bought Time Warner they would F things up.

Can you give the website that you can't reach as http://www.inksville.com. That one is on a different server than rr's. Again the #74096 is the work order or NOC# I guess.

    Thanks for the help.

I'll be more than happy to help. I'll contact them as soon as they wake-up. One of the local rr techs worked for me on some past contract jobs. He has only been with them a couple of months but maybe he has some inside support channels that we don't have access to. (After all, we're "just customers" what could we possibly know?)

Comtek, A big thanks. I'm not sure if you contacted them or not but they just called. They said 3 people have contacted them and that they will get some techs to make up the difference. Hopefully it will be fixed soon. Thanks again.

Grrrrr! They just called me back and said that a certain router through AOL was being blocked for security reasons and that it won't be lisfted until January 2nd. WTF is that all about. Is there anyway I can change something. What does it cost to swtch my domain name forwarding from Namesecure.com to another company. Would that work??? Jeeez I need to start learning other stuff besides just building webpages. Hmmm, I guess I should learn how to build webpages tooo.
