    Can't Run Reports...Change password?
Is it just me? I attempted to refresh reports, now Linkshare keeps asking me to change my password, I do it and then when I attempt to run reports, it sends me back to the change password screen (saying it's expired).

Edited title hoping a Linkshare person will see this.

I tried it and not seeing the same thing. Are you talking about the old reports? They're the only ones I use until I can no longer use them

Getting the same thing. Even after the password is changed, it keeps asking for a new password.

Whew! Glad I'm not alone. Found this old thread, tried to change username and password, but no go. So far, I've changed my password about 4 times. Now, I give up.

Yesterday...I wasn't able to make LS text links or check reports. Tried 3 different browsers w/no luck. But seemed to work fine when I used my old W98 machine.
Today everything seems fine. But I changed nothing. Wierd.

They've had problems like this in the past where it only affected some. It's something on their end, that they should be able to fix sooner than later. I wouldn't bother with trying to update your password, you'll try yourself crazy

You shouldn't have any problems logging in to Shareasale.

bethany: does this mean you can log in again? I'm asking because now I'm also stuck in that @#$%^! password loop.

    Thanks, Frank

Yes, I sure can. You might want to send a support email via their form, in case that's what got me back in.

    Hi All,
The LinkShare system now requires all users to update their password once every 90 days. In order to ensure that every user is not asked to change their passwords the same day, you will be asked to change your password based on the date your account was created.

When you log into your LinkShare account from www.linkshare.com (if you have been selected to change your password) you will need to change the password before you can do anything in the interface.

Ranae, what should we do if the password function isn't working properly? Some of us have been caught in a loop that repeatedly asks us to change our password.

As we have seen so many times in the last 18 months, LinkShare has implemented something without (it appears) field testing it properly. Again, they have created another hoop for us to jump trough.

Really, how much more diffiicult should it be for affiliates to log in. LinkShare already has the most difficult log in system of any network and now they are asking that we change our password every 90 days? And affiliates can't get it to work?

Was there an announcement about this new requirement? If so, I missed it.

It's working for me now. Apparently it had accepted the password, but I guess it was just caught in a loop. I'm wondering if what finally got it to accept the password was that I logged all the way out, waited a while and then logged back in. Perhaps there's a database that has to be updated and it takes a while? Who knows?

For me, this password change loop only occurs when I try to go to reports. I can log in and get links and do all the other functions except reports. Now that really does not make any sense. LS needs to fix this and fix it fast. Forcing us to change passwords every 90 days is idiotic. Suggesting that we do is ok but, if I elect to change or not change should be strickly my business.

It's working for me now. I found that I could log in using Firefox and get reports ok. After logging in with Firefox, I tried again with IE and it now works.

I just got something in the mail today from LS. Breathalyzer Account Lock. Have to hook it up via your USB port and blow into it and they might let you in to your account providing there is no trace of alcohol on your breath.

They're just so stupid. There's also a thread at Webmasterworld with affiliates wondering what's going on too. You can put that in the emails you guys send out.

I had no problem making the change when they asked for it a few days ago, but still type in my old password out of habit.
    Now every 90 days!

    Jeez

    *Note: I use FireFox

Maybe people should be forced to do a breathalyzer Before they join LS?
