    Question Random arrays of images
If you wanted to display random arrays of images with corresponding text on a web page, would you use Java or PHP?

    I could go either way.

I'd say defo PHP with the coming increased security on IE plugins, java may not be the best choice.

PHP. PHP should be easier to find examples for web development too. I don't know a lot of folks that use Java for web pages, but I know it is used by some. ASP.NET or PHP are good choices depending upon the development tools and server availability. You didn't mean Javascript did you?

No, I didn't mean Javascript. I was thinking along the lines of this:

    http://www.dori.com/java/applets.html

The book is at the library.

There are probably ways to achieve similar examples in PHP. I like to look at scripts online and then I try to use the scripts or edit them. I try to follow the information from books or online sources.

Can you recommend any good online script sites? I hope that the books I have on PHP, Java, MySQL, SQL, etc. would help me understand the scripts

    Okay, bumping it.

The above has examples of arrays with Java; is there a site that lists similar "tricks" with PHP? Thanks.

One of the best sources around for scripts is Hotscripts.com

There's so much there, that there's barely ever a need to go further.
