Ladies, cold you help a guyout please?
Ahem, let me just say that madawg is away till friday.
Being the good dad I am, when da girl came and asked to play, I of course said yes.
Being the really good dad, when she asked to play dress up, I again said yes.
Being dad of the hour material, when she asked to dress me up, makeup and all I said .... ummmmmmmmm k?
So, after some vigourous scrubbing, I have the makeup off except the stuff on the eyelids but I have hope.
What I need some help with, is the nail polish.
See, it appears that she put some nail polish on me that advertises it not only protects your nails, but it won't chip or crack and will deflect bullets. In addition to this, da girl put on my nice pretty bulletproof nails some sealant nail polish protector stuff that I have to admit, also adds a nice shine to the nail.
    Here's the problem.
    I can't get it off.
At first I spent about 20 minutes scraping. Then I remembered they actually make a thing called nail polish remover. Think I could find some? No. I actually went to phone madawg on the cruise, but figured I had better not ... ok the 18 dollars a minute they were going to charge helped, but I figured this was not on the list of acceptable reasons to interupt her trip. As I recall, she said the only reason for me to call her on this trip was if I was in a coma ... although now that I think about it, I guess I wouldn't be calling if I was in a coma now would I ... she's good.
Anyway, I can't find nail polish and I was wondering if you had any tips on how to get this off? Preferably without going out into the public?

My undying, don't wanna be embarrased in public, willing to get laughed at here for a few minutes instead of risking the chance i run into someone I know at the store, thanks

Don't put nail polish remover on her eyelids!!!

Did she put nail polish on her eyelids?

Please say succinctly without the slang: what type of makeup is on what part of the body?

Don't put paint thinner on your hands!

You might need a method that removes artificial nails.

Start by clipping off the portion of the artificial nail that is longer than your natural nail. Soak in acetone remover until the nails dissolve (about 10–15 minutes). Acrylics and gels will take longer. For best results, use Nailene’s Artificial Nail Remover or Nailene’s 100% Acetone Remover. [Nailene's FAQs]
Go to an "all night drugstore" and buy:

Polish-Off Nail Polish Remover Pads -- they come in Non-Acetone or Polish-Off Nail Polish Remover Pads, Regular

    Research the products at Drugstore.com

If you buy plain remover, then buy cotton pads too.

thinner did good ... stings like a bugger on a couple of fingers tho little bits on the edges of the nail but most is gone.
Should have thought about thinner when I couldn't find nail polish remover.

Umm ... let's forget this thread ever happened ok?

Wear gloves and go to the store and get nail polish remover.

Get some sand paper and sand them down.

Accept it and live as a woman for a week. Dress up, put on a wig, tuck stuff away. Post pics.

    Popdawg,

You have one of the best looking avatars around here, so those pink nails will mach good with the pink hat & the blue and pink cape, so don't worry that much.

It's too bad that you already removed the pink nail polish before posting a picture here, but next time try to post a picture before removal, because there is going to be a next time, and we all like to see a picture of that.

OK, one comment and then I'll let your thread die, pop.

If you get yourself in that type of situation again, I recommend going to a drug store or grocery store that has the self check out lane. You can get your polish remover and then pay for it yourself without have the clerk give you the fish eye.

I think it was nice of you to play along.

When my daughter was about five years old she did this to her three year old brother, dress and all...even a wig. We have pictures to blackmail him later with any future girlfriends.

He actually looked very pretty. It really brought out the blue in his eyes. (did I really say that?)

Thankfully, it did not have any lasting effects.

Awww Pop - Don't worry about it - Your not the first Dad to do this for his daughter I remember the first time I caught my dad playing pretty pretty princess with my daughters, all the sparkly jewelry and earrings and the crown on his head. He looked so cute in drag

Chris let my daughter and niece dress him up with nail polish and all just for the heck of it back in October, he had a blast with it and so did they. I think either his sister or Loxly ended up having to go out and buy nail polish remover to get rid of it off his nails - heheh

I always remember my mother telling of how she and her sisters would curl up pieces of paper, wet them on one end and stick them on their grandfathers bald head. She said he was a cranky old guy most of the time, but never seemed to mind the attention of his granddaughters when they did this.

Now a days, the times are changing. My kids have some Cosmopolitan Magazine software where they can put their picture in (or mine) and change the makeup, hair, beard, etc. Fortunately, I have not had to endure the real make up, nail polish, etc, but those darn pictures look so real I worry one day I'll see them on the internet.
