    Bad Move...
There is a merchant who revised their trademark policy and now allows you to bid on their trademark on PPCSE's except google, yahoo, msn, and aol.

They want you to put ads up for them on click fraud riddled miva, looksmart, kanoodle, goclick, ehance, epilot, etc.

They are basically advising unknowing affiliates to burn their cash on bullsh*t clicks...

    Good job!

What? ...did this merchant cancel the PPCSE Ads running on all the crapware BHO searchbars and now need phoney traffic to pad their stats?

    Another misguided and/or uninformed merchant...

It would have been a better move to tell affiliates they can't use anything but G-Y-M.

Not only does the fraud cause affiliates to lose money, but at times, those 2nd tier engines' ads are distributed (usually by third parties) using techniques that will interfere with the merchant's own ppc on G-Y-M.

And they're going with the "our in-house guys are so smart and work so hard that we're quite sure we've got G-Y-M completely covered and don't need the costs involved with performance-based-pay ppc affiliates to try and fill in any holes" myth... and are loosing sales opportunities as a result.

Did they include Metrics Direct, Direct Revenue, MyGeek, eXact, etc. in the "allowed" list...
