    Login goes to LinkShare Japan??
After logging into LinkShare the same as always, something a bit disconcerting happened...I got hijacked by LinkShare Japan (see attachment).

Seems that my login is going to LinkShare Japan, and I think that the LinkShare ID is being incorrectly used is "flosshimane".

I logged out and logged back in to no effect. Doesn't bode well for LinkShare security as I could probably close this guy's account (if I could read Japanese).

I just logged in and it looked like I was logged in under a different account. My username was somebody else's. But when I clicked to generate my report it switched back to the proper username. Seemed like some sort of glitch.

I was just about to post that the same thing happened to me. After clicking on the reports section it switched everything back to my account, and things seem to be working now.

Amusing, but when you think about the personal info that is also stored in accounts (SSN, bank account # for direct deposit, and such) this is hardly an insignificant thing.

Linkshare wins by a longshot. I've only been active with them for a couple months and I really can't believe what a pain in the ass they are. From making links to channel silliness to subpar reporting to simply logging into their site! Give me CJ anyday!!!

LinkShare is far ahead but CJ is trying hard to follow them.

Wow, very interesting. I logged in and everything looked okay. Maybe the down time this morning was someone hijacking Linkshare.

Since we never get much word from LS about such things we will never know.

I'm not even able to log in.

Oh well. I'll go put up some SAS links instead.

About 7 years ago something like that had happened with Reporting.net (BeFree). Back then I could log in with my username/password and see somebody else' data instead for the whole day. I used to make about $3 a day with them (I believe it was GoTo's (or Altavista?) search 3 cents per click program), and since I wanted to see my "progress" I was logging in all day, and the funny thing was I didn't see anyone with more money in their account, and that was why I didn't think about making money as an affiliate for sooo long. And probably somebody else looked at my $27 and thought I was doing great!

Wondering if we could get a comment from the LS moderator on this. It is disconcerting that affiliates were able to see other affiliates earnings today. I think that is important enough security issue that it should be addressed and discussed. If it can happen once, it can happen again (unless some fixes are put in place).
