    GoldenCan down?
I just noticed that the GoldenCan pages are not showing anything. Even the GoldenCan Homepage gives an error "cannot be found"! What's with this?

Thanks, I am back and GoldenCAN is working fine. I am not sure why Grumpy saw the down time. I will keep an eye on the things and make sure everything is running smoothly.

    Hi Witzer,

GoldenCAN is working fine and all stores are being displayed properly. According to our records there was no downtime.

Are you having problem with some other sites also or only with GoldenCAN.

    Thanks for the reply.

Yes, I am haveing problems with a few sites. This forum is loading slowly, Google is completly unobtainable, MSN is on and off.

All of my own web sites load normally, except the GC code does not load. Shareasale seems to work fine. Other affiliate programs work fine. I have done a virus check....negative results.

Also getting some slow down by "loading data from pagead2.googlesyndication.com" and "loading data from www.eway.com" and a couple of others. I think that these are various affiliate banners loading. Some images are not loading, but it is not consistant.

It appears that I have a gremlin in my computer, because I ran a second computer side by side with my computer and all is well...........Looks like I need to hunt the gremlin.

Sorry for the alarm and thanks for the help.

    This morning ....again

It is strange. On my computer, I seem to be completely blocked from anything Google related and Golden Can related. This forum loads very slowly for me. Everything else works just fine, including all of my websites except the GC connection.

One other thing, I can not login to Hotmail account.

I have run virus scan and spyware scan. Report is "all is well".

As I stated in previous post, this seems to be a problem on my personal computer alone for I have run another computer at the same time without any problems.

    Any suggestions?????

Do a traceroute to the sites that you're not able to reach. It sounds like there may be connectivity issues somewhere on the Internet.

It appears that the problem is just in my computer.

Why would this "pagead2.googlesyndication.com" show up rather than "goldencan.com". I checked properties on "browser favorites" and all seems well.

What is this "pagead2.googlesyndication.com". This also shows up when I am accessing Abestweb. Right side bar is very slow.

Something on my computer has GC blocked. I have tried to do a Yahoo search and connect to GC, but still get "site unknown".

    I appreciate any help. Thanks

    What is this "pagead2.googlesyndication.com".
    It's AdSense.

Thanks. I finally figured that out. I also noticed that on the few sites where I have adsense, the ads are not loading, which is slowing those sites to a crawl.

I have removed adsense from one site, but it is still slow.(checked with another computer)

I still have no access to GC or Google....front door, back door, side door.......Neither will load on my computer.

I have removed all recently loaded software, have run Norton and AdAware multiple times today. I have read the "poison hosts files" posts that MichealCorley suggested, checked my files as directed and did not see anything out of the ordinary.

Unplug your modems, router and computers, reset and restart everything. If that doesn't work, call your ISP. I had to do that once or twice to clear out everything and reestablish connections back east once or twice. It always targetted just a couple websites too, was very bizarre....

UNBELIEVABLE...............It worked.............I don't understand why, but I am back on line..

Thank you Loxly for your suggestion. I have done this proceedure before, but it was when the internet would make no connection. This was weird in that only a few websites were affected. It appeared that google adsense was poaching on GC.

    Thanks all.................

Damn...I am in a better mood....

Well....I removed some adsense ads.........Think I will leave it that way.

Glad to be of help I know it was frustrating when it happened to me too, and made no sense. But your modem just gets it in its chips to decide to block just certain dns entries and POOF only certain sites become unreachable.
