    Angry Deactivated by CJ?
    I've just come back from a week's holiday to find that I can no longer sign in to my CJ account. The text says it has been deactivated but there is no other information and I can find no email from them to explain why. The account had been fairly idle for a while but I started using it heavily after the recent eComXpo and they were getting over 250 impressions a day. In fact I had only just started to push it on my site. I looked at their contact page but they give no email addresses and, as I'm in Switzerland, it is not really possible for me to call them.

    Does anyone have an email address for them?

    I did see a thread on a similar problem from last year and it mentioned something about a sale in 6 months or not signing in to your account in 30 days. I had been signing in every day for the past month. I don't think there were any sales as I had only just put the banners on my web site about 2 weeks ago.

    Is it worth me trying to contact them? Or should I just go with a different company? And which one?

    You'll need to sign up again, reapply to your merchants, and switch out your links.

    CJ really should make a way for people to have their accounts reactivated and should probably send out notice before doing something like this. If you're going to delete accounts after six months of inactivity, how hard is it to send out an email after five months of inactivity?

    Personally I can't complain on that one as I do have some accounts that I rarely use and have gotten notices akin to "do something or we will shut the account down"...

    Thanks for the post - it prompted me to check one of my CJ accounts (it is a long story but I keep my Canadian account seperate from my US account). And yup, it was shut down. For what reason I do not know. I have been in every couple of days and I have had sales this month. I have been through this several times before and was given the following reasons:

    1) Failing to log into CJ for a period of time (I forget how long)
    2) No sales within the past 6 months
    3) No account activity (no/low impressions)

    In all cases, CJ was impossible to work with. I wouldn't bother trying to contact them - it will be a complete waste of keystrokes! If your account has been deactivated, they treat you pretty poorly.

    I will not be re-creating my CJ account and links - I am making way more money at SAS. (And they treat thier affiliate partners much better than CJ)
