I think from reading past posts that it could potentially set up a red flag for affiliate program managers who are trying to weed out nefarious applicants but I do private domain set ups to keep my phone from ringing by all manner of idiotic site visitors who decide it's perfectly OK to call me at all hours if they know how to find the whois info.

80% of our domains are with a private registration
and I don't intend to change it.

Since 1997 my Whois is public formy sites and those of my clients. Real information on your site and in the Whois breeds trust your not hiding something. Doubt I get 2 phone calls a year from Whois info.

I'm with eCom on this one. My spam and telemarketing headaches come from 6 trillion sources ahead of Whois.

And merchants and managers will look at that info if they are hedging on allowing a site into their program...

If you are interested in really good domains with lot`s of traffic, i recommand you deleted and expired domains,

because these domains are still registered in search engines and have existing links.

At www.********.com/ you will find a detailed information about their backlinks, IP`s etc.
