I love this weather! Where I am at in Illinois is getting hammered by an ice storm. As long as the power stays on I am going to be in great shape. I didn't even have to go to work today, my real job that is...

Not only did this weather get me a day off work my sales online are up too! *knock on wood* Nothing like winter weather to make people sit at the computer!

I may have to go out and build a snow man here in a bit. We are supposed to get between 8-12 inches of the stuff. Odds are that I will have tomorrow off from my "real job" too!

I'm with Core, a big storm is predicted to hit Michigan and sales are rooollin'! I hope they keep up!

Not only that but so far only a dusting of snow here. But the storm is supposed to come tonight and dump 6 inches of sn*w, then cap it off with an INCH of ICE! Yuck in some ways (too darn COLD, hard to drive in, etc.!), but as long as the commissions keep coming in I won't be complaining!

I'm sitting here sweltering in the Gold Coast heat, snow would be great, just to feel a cool breeze would be great!

thanks Breeze, but I was thinking of something colder, like an artic blast

Anyone care to swap, sunny mountain cottage 10 acres, assorted chickens, geese, horse, birds, dogs and cats, edge of the rainforest with waterfall, for a week in the snow.
Yes, I know reading back, it sounds silly, but I loath this time of year, wish it was winter/spring all year round!

Hm, is that ownership of that house and associated animals in exchange for a week in Frigigan?

It's a bit far, but a deal like that wouldn't be passed up!

No
and you'd have to be prepared to get up at 5 to feed the animals and that includes one very agro emu and pick the fallen avocados before it gets too hot...
Frigigan...is that the place or a swear word

Is it suitable for a Pagan community? Is there privacy from the curious? Will a drumming circle all hours of the night bother anyone? Any ordinances against bonfires? Any legal problems with home schooling?

Send me the deed and I will get you a week in the snow if all the above is suitable.

MJ,

Frigigan=Frigid + Michigan.

So I'd have to feed the animals before I went to bed...("get up" then? Bwaa haa haa, surely you jest!)

Sorry, but without ownership that wouldn't be a deal Too bad, I was all set to buy you the plane tickets, that would have been a great trade (for ME, hee hee)

BTW, what's a "very agro" emu--? Is that "aggressive"?

Hey Pete, I just ran that 39 through a Celsius-Farenheit converter in the other window! That's 102 degrees! That's hot, alright--but I'd still rather have that than the Negative 6.6 Celsius (20 Farenheit) that it usually gets at night here! Talk about BRRR!!!

Ah, I see Leader
Yes one very bad tempered emu who loves nothing better then giving chase to me when I've got my arms full with the egg and feed buckets!
A very funny sight...or so I'm told

Yeah, nothing like a good snowstorm to drive up sales. The cash registers go non-stop when the storms hit the East Coast.

But dread those first nice warm days in the spring when everyone bolts for the outdoors!

I just checked our outdoor thermometer. It's 9 degrees (F). The only thing that will get me outside is the 103 degree spa out back. Getting from the door to the tub isn't too bad, but getting out soppin wet and dashing across the frozen deck is a whole new experience in coldness.

As soon as I board the plane to visit our place in Puerto Vallarta I'll pray for lots of snow in Colorado.
