Your Business Logo On U.S. Postage Stamps
Not sure how long this has been available, costs more but you can put your site logo, pics of your kids, pets, favorite pic etc. on a U.S. postage stamp:

Stamps.com has something similar. We used them for postage on Grace's birth announcements (with pictures of her, not business logos!).

Pretty cool, huh? These have been around for about a year. There's even an affiliate program (somewhere) to sell personalized stamps. Great idea for Christmas stamps but a site logo on stamps is a cool idea.

The one I linked too ? I know they have an affiliate program and are on my to do list.

Was trying it out, the text in my logo is in blurry hell.

These are some of my designs already made for postage stamps that can be found at my Cafe Press store. We also have what are called POSTAGE PALS that go on the envelope first then you put your postage stamp on with it.
http://www.cafepress.com/gethsemener...erose&type=151 here are some of those.

I can imagine a promotion that involves free or inexpensive stamps when somebody registers for your site. I'm considering this for bumper stickers as well.

Yes we do. It is a great promotion for your own website and stores(s), but it is not commissionable for affiliates.

It was just announced that it is ok to put your logo and urls on stamps.

Sorry Rexanne! It is because of factors beyond my control that they are not commissionable, and it on our commission page. BUT Postage Pals ARE commissionable.

Anyone know if you can use pictures of cars through Stamps.com?

I know you can't through CafePress & I can't seem to get a straight answer from Stamps.com about whether or not they have a (IMO irrational) blanket policy like CP.

CafePress uses Stamps.com's rules, which are the post office regulations. Using an image that is trademarked is not allowed, and cars would be trademarked by the manufacturers.

"It is a great promotion for your own website "

Aren't domain names and similar promotional devices also against the rules? I would imagine the postal service would be a little bit touchy about somehting that could beei

    uh... are you sure?

I actually just got a personal phone call from Stamps.com & they said it's perfectly okay. If you own the car, you take the picture, you have the rights to it. They would even allow pictures from car shows. He went so far as to mention how the paparazzi makes their money.... things I've brought up on and had removed from the CP forums numerous times.... CP makes up their own rules. ...not that it matters, but the validation is nice
