    I assume that you mean actual sale and not commission.

    It has been awhile........had to do an educated guess.

    As a matter of fact, I never got paid for my first 4 sales..........That I do remember ............Learned quickly to watch my back....

    I voted for commission since I'm an affiliate and look at commissions, while merchants look at sales. Mine was $4 and it was for ebay.

    Our first sale was this item. http://www.coleman.com/coleman/colem...ategoryid=5140
    17 cents commission. I remember it because all I could think was why would you go online to buy that and only that. And then pay shipping on top of it.
    We owned that market for a good year or so.

    Geno,

    It was years ago... so I don't remember the price... but I remember the feeling - and it was GREAT!!!

    Now it takes more than a sale to get the same rush...

    but I got one today!!

    Someone bought a LOT of champagne favors:

    Thursday 18-MAY-2006 03:18 Personal Creations 9731 Mini Champagne Favors $1,559.40 12

    I said $50 because that one was so memorable. But as I think of it I suppose I had gotten a bunch of nickels, dimes, and dollars before that.

    No idea which was really the first.

    Before affiliate commissions I got lots of nickels dimes and quarters for clicks.

    day 14 as a publisher still waiting for my first sale. However day 32 as a merchant and my first sale was on day one for $18.99 (80cents profit the rest went to overhead) have been making about 75cents a day profit every day since at this rate I will be able to pay my internet fees and that is about it LOL

    Like Billy said, my first sale was YEARS ago, would have been Amazon... and the feeling was AWESOME... probably was pennies for the first sale and now that I think about it, the next rush was getting a sale from an Amazon DIRECT link, which paid way more... and then I went out and got Cusimano's Amazon script, which lead me to his support forum and guess where that was?????? Yup, it was HERE. Wow, first commission led me to ABW.... years before I actually posted....

    Thanks for bringing back that memory Geno.

    Ooops. I voted for Sale amount as opposed to Commission amount before I read the clarifications later on.

    First sale was May of '04 I think (yup, just looked it up... May 25th, 2004)...

    A $499.99 bonsai tree... My commission was $99.99.

    Boy, did I think I was going to end up a millionaire that day. I only had about $25.00 invested in hosting and AdWords at that point...

    Whew!! Nice first sale indeed.

    My first sale would have been back in early 1999, probably a small commission of $2.00 or so.

    I was at a gas station filling up over the weekend and the guy in front of me was saying something about prices and I said that I am so old I used to remember 25 cents a gallon, and his eyes about popped out of his head. It really wasn't all that long ago that you could fill up for 2 bucks and drive for a week..... and get a candy bar too!

    Gas @ .25 a gallon? Yikes. The cheapest it ever got for me, when I first started driving, was about 80 cents or so. Back in the day when I had to walk miles, through snowdrifts, to get to school...

    Oh, my first commision was $25ish. I was on cloud 9 pretty much the entire day, knowing that I might've finally stumbled onto something that would ACTUALLY work.

    When I first started driving, early 1960s, I never paid over 24.9 a gallon. If it got over that price I'd wait for a gas war and fill up then. Sometimes they also gave you part of a set of glasses or dishes with a fillup, too.

    Remember gas wars? Those were fun. Every station on a corner would take turns cutting their price by a penny or two, until they were all losing money. The next day they'd all raise it again.

    Gas = $3.10 / gallon.

    Starbucks = $32.00 / gallon.

    There isn't TOO much for us to complain about... Unless you want to complain about coffee....

    But we're derailing this thread...
