That was funny. I need to get my German cousin Ulf to load something up on YouTube. He likes to do Elvis impersonation on the side, lol.

Geeeeze Trust, you must have been living under a rock the past year ...

"The Numa Numa Dance" was all over the 'Net AND TV - made a big splash. The poor kid got famous overnight for acting like a dweeb and publishing his antics on the WWW. At first he was happy about being "famous" but after a few months, he was mortified that he was known for being the "Numa Numa Dance Guy." Sad that he didn't just appreciate how hilarious his video was. He was lipsynching to a popular (German/Swedish/whatever) song in front of his webcam and sent it around. It got picked up and was an instant hit.

    That was very funny.

I must be living a little behind the times...I've never heard of YouTube before. And I just spent about an hour watching videos instead of working....good distraction!

I showed my kids Urban Ninja and of course my 10 year old's response..."Mom can I get back into gymnastics?"

Many different versions. I think the kid got a lot more grief than the yuma, yuma guy.

    *old thread bump*

Just saw something on the news about the Star Wars Kid. Apparently he was very upset that his 2 friends put the video on the internet, it has been downloaded tens of millions of times, dropped out of school and got a tutor. So he sued them for $310,000 and they just settled for an undisclosed amount. I'm thinking instead of getting upset, he could have just played it off and turned it into a positive and made some serious money with it.

Wonder if we'll see more of these lawsuits now, probably.

yeah i read about that. phriggin lame. likely his parents are the ones really behind it. i did stuff like that as a kid myself, so what. like you said... it was not like he was filmed doing something "immoral" or shameful.

I think the Numa Numa kid got over it and is doing what the Star Wars Kid should have done:

$310k isn't serious money for featuring in a short dance video???
