    Question Travel - vacation packages?
I did a search and I found nothing.

I decided to concentrate in travel and specifically timeshare sales as there are some companies paying a pretty good commission per form sign up, tour or something along that line.

I was wondering if anybody have ventured that direction.

Since they are not selling a product (rather service/timeshare)
What do I look for in a good merchant? I found a few on LS.
    What do I avoid?
Anybody know of a good and reputable merchant via LS?

Not sure if they provide any feed but if anybody knows of any company in FL or CA that are doing it, please feel free to share.

    Many thanks.

    Hi ske9963,

We sell some vacation packages that are comparable to the prices that the timeshares sell for, but with no tour necessary.

If you're looking for packages with tickets, like to disney, then you'll have to go with someone like Fairfield (on Linkshare). I haven't worked with them personally, though.

    Thanks,

    -Michael

    Hi again,

We pay out a base of 5% on hotels, but you have the ability to make up to 9% on hotels, see here for more info:
    http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread.php?t=55150

We pay out $5 on flights, $25 on cruises, and $2 on car rentals.

We are completely clean, and monitor this daily. No ebates, upromise, igive, care2, or any other parisitic affiliates.

We have unbelievable hotel deals, like a 3 star in New York City starting at $79 per night. We also have many properties in hot Golf locations such as Orlando.

Our conversion definitely varies by affiliate, targeted traffic converts at a very high rate.

We offer a multitude of bonuses (look at my signature).

    We offer a full datafeed:
    http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread.php?t=57445

Have many different ways to link to our search results:
    http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread.php?t=56103

Or you can link directly to any hotel:
    http://forum.abestweb.com/showthread.php?t=17987

We have a SearchBox (and a new one coming):

    and DRM:

    Thanks Andy,

I mnght just do that. I am in the process of setting another store which is not related to travel, so I will have to finish the project first.

I did some research on the Fairfield company that Mike mentioned. The payout is pretty good. Only thing is that I do not know of anybody doing it.
Here is a link to their program.

    Any thoughts...

Michael - do you offer any xml feeds for your packages (or any other products you have)? It sounds like an interesting program.

    Mike,

    You are using SAS rite?
Currently, I m not utilizing SAS. I know it is suppose to be parasite free. Any benefits of SAS over LS.

    ske9963,

We are on Linkshare, both networks have their advantages. Ultimately, I believe it comes down to excellent program management, which, in my opinion, we have.

    Anytime Ske,

You also should place a golf magazine link on the golf review site you have, something like this: http://www.magazinesquick.com/Golf-p-1-c-54.html

I bet you would convert very well...

Join magazinesquick, there's a golf banner already there you can set up...

Cool man.. I will pick your company up after I finish another project...

I did not know that you can have LS and SAS at the same time cos LS is an exclusive program.
Learning new things as I go..

I appreciate ur help. Are you guys organizing anything in Orlando, FL within the next few weeks/months?
Or Going to the LS symposium?

    Hey Ske9963,

I just wanted to clarify that we are on LS only. As you stated, LS has an exclusivity clause. We are the only Merchant Andy works with that is on LS, all his others are on SAS.

    Thanks,

    Michael

LinkShare requires exclusivity from their merchants, but not their affiliates. Affiliates are free to join any networks they want.

Ok you travel peeps help me find this

I want a 4G catergory room on a Canirval Cruise for under 899 per person.
I want the November 3rd Cruise from Rome to Ft. Lauradale Florida.

899 is the cheapest I can find it for. Can you guys get it any lower than 899 if so I will buy my ticket through you instead of American Airlines.

I plan to be at the orlando event. Begging around for 2-3 tickets. One for myself and two for my partners.
If I can get there, I would definately want to meet up

    Hey Mike,

I'm not sure we offer what you're looking for, but I'm checking into it. I'll let you know. Just to clarify, you want a one way cruise from Rome to Ft. Lauderdale, right?

    timeshares
    hello,

In terms of your timeshare question, I am making the same decision right now. I have a program for the timeshares through Marriot Vacation Club, but the commissions don't look too promising. I might focus on writing some timeshare content on my trvel sites and using Google Adsense to allow timeshare companies to pay for clicks insted of confirmed leads.

My main question is about the legitimacy of timeshares. I was on a trip recently and the timeshares were being pushed very heavily. I asked around and found that most people in the business didn't really believe in what they were selling. One even said that it amounted to a legalized pyramid scheme where people aren't really buying anything and rarely get the service they are paying for.

Personally, I would rather choose my own hotel or furnished apartment at the time and destination of my choosing instead of paying so much in advance. In terms of making an investment insted of paying "rent" at hotels, I would rather invest in something I have control over.

I have not put timeshare links on my travel sites yet, but I would be interested to hear what other peolple thought about timeshares.
