Back in the saddle active or deactivated? Or both?
I followed my own link to Back in the Saddle to make a test purchase. When I hadn't gotten credit after about 24 hours I started looking around.

My links go to their main page, not to the product page.

On the merchant detail page it says:
    Joined Network: 22-Oct-2001 (Deactivated)

And in the terms section it says:
    Status Active Start Date 4-Sep-2003

My performance reports show clicks to their site
My "invalid links" report doesn't mention them.

I wonder how long I've been sending them free traffic.

I guess the active part means that you are active in their program but the "(Deactivated)" means they're not really active in CJ.
CJ needs to clean this stuff up.

I get deactivated merchants similar to what you just described.

In a few (select) instances I leave up the links that indicate certain preferences of my visitors (i.e. CJ's feedback that those links *are still* popular means something more to me than a click would be with an active AM).

I think that active means that's when your terms started and the inactive link report is 24 hrs behind. if it's not a temp deactivation they should have been removed from the platform. Drop a line to CJ and ask wud up.

all the same the link should not go through if they are not active even in a temp deactivation. It hurts us when that CJ error pages comes up, but it strong arms the advertisers into keeping up to date by effecting the incoming revenue.

Apparently they just went inactive yesterday. So I think I should have gotten paid for my test order from the day before. But of course I won't.

My links now go to the error page and show up on the bad link report.

Any I just got one of those stupid "see if you can figure out which merchant is inactive" emails.

I just wrote to them and told them I'd like my commission please. It will be interesting to see what they say, if anything.
