    Question Home Depot question
Didn't Home Depot have an affiliate program or am I confusing them with someone else?

Please let me know (anyone who knows).

    Thanks in advance,

    Geno

Merchant's don't always put that on their site, moreso the bigger brands. If you login to CJ, you will find them.

Too bad it's cheaper to buy lumber and rent the truck than it is to have lumber shipped to your door. I could make a killing off of it with one site.

Maybe tools, if such a site lets me in.

Both of the merchants listed are so much more than lumber. I went to one of them the other day to buy one board and had a hard time finding the lumber area!

Oh I know. I bought some stuff from HD on Saturday, much to my wife's disapproval.

It's just that this particular site can benefit greatly from online lumber sales.

They are picky, but they answer emails promptly and are willing to work with you. They've actually been one of the easier big merchants that I've dealt with.

Yes, they are. And they offer no contact email or phone for you to make your case. If anyone here has a contact email or number for the HD affiliate program, please post it.

Remember, price isn't the only factor. There's also convenience! It's a huge pain to have to unload a truckful of heavy stuff yourself (unless you're normally a laborer or something), so it'd be worth it to some people to be able to have it delivered.

Heck, people will buy online and pay shipping on things that fit in a paper bag; they shouldn't have any problem paying more for delivery on something like lumber!

    Talking
I've never thought about buying lumber online.
Mind wandered (as usual), & I was trying to think of things that people will NEVER buy online.

    Ice cubes
Car Batteries (the common lead-acid kind)

    any others?

Wow. So how do you work with them? Must be hard... Or is there a way for affiliates to contact them via CJ?

I emailed them directly through the cj interface and they responded fairly quickly and then took some time to review our site, ask questions, etc. and we were approved after being declined. Quite different from other big merchants that may get back to you after a few weeks.

They are very particular about their program, its really invitation only. Once you are in, they are great to work with, one of the best IMHO.
