    Lightbulb My Prediction:
I bet some merchants are already considering in-house affiliate programs, if they didn't have them already. Then if the new CJ java-based links start to bomb they can send invitations.

I second that. In fact I've been emailing two of my bigger merchants who had contemplated an in-house program that now would be a really good time.

I'd be very happy if some of the CJ merchants I work with went indie. I do better with indies than any of the networks.

If anyone with an indie program wants to sweet talk me just drop me a PM. You should be product rather than service oriented and have a datafeed or an easy way to make product links.

Is Affiliate Traction an example of an indie?

I followed one merchant from CJ (where I was making $) to Affiliate Traction but that move didn't pan out for me or for a number of other affiliates.
The merchant came back to CJ (while most of the affiliates hadn't left).

Rhea, I like that invitation in red letters
All I can say is that if anyone at all wants to sweet talk me, go ahead and "drop me a PM." (Gee, I hope I didn't come on too strong).

As an affiliate, I liked to use indie programs and smaller programs/merchants regardless of network. Beyond a good converstion rate, I appreciated the personal touch and agility they would provide.

I have a few thoughts on a small and agile program you can all join?
