    Arrow As in a discount?
I take it you are an affiliate and you want to use your affiliate link to purchase a product at a discount.

The short answer is "Yes", but there are caveats.

If I understand it correctly, you have to have 4 sales from 4 distinct geographical areas of the world, before they will cut you a check that has a commission from you purchasing a product. CB doesnít want people signing up to be affiliates, just so they can get a discount. They donít mind it if you are an active, sales producing affiliate though, hence the above rule.

Somebody please correctly me if I am wrong about this.

    Thanks,

    Wayne

I always do that and receive comissions for
product bought. Although I use my affiliate
    portal at
and I make other sales to other products as
well, I have never had any problems with
    comissions

    Attempt at translation:

Actually, the Clickbank rules are just to try to make the merchants happy.

In fact, they want you to buy more using the Clickbank link, since that way you save money and they earn money for the transactions also.

    Note:
    r should be are
    u should be you
2 as in 2 u should be to you

2 is used when it's a number, to is used when it's a word that's being spoken.

I'm trying to understand the most recent rulings on this.
Jedi, you'd best read the rules yourself, but I think what the OP is trying to say is that the rules are to make merchants happy, but that Clickbank isn't enforcing them because by not enforcing them, it encourages more sales and they make more money that way.

What ClickBank does & Doesn't Want
    Hi All:

In actual fact, what ClickBank DOES want you to do is buy. And if you were referred to a product through a vendor or affiliate referral link they want you to buy without attempting to manipulate or change the affiliate or vendor that will be credied for the sale. If you found the product through someone else's efforts, it is proper that they are rewarded.

That being said, there are many many ClickBank members and customers that now own ClickBank search portals like the ones found at 1stPromotion or ProfitMart (and others of course) They use these as tools to research and identify products they would like to purchase.

These portals automatically place the member's ClickBank nickname into a referral link and the member is then credited with their commissions. Whether these sales are initiated by a customer or the site owner, there is no over-writing of hoplinks or link theft.

Many members own a portal without ever promoting them and use them solely for their own purchases, whereas the most common are those that promote the portals as a mall or niche site.

    Hope this helps!

Go for it. There's alot of products on clickbank about SEO, adwords, affiliate marketing etc so take advantage of that and you can get 50% off or whatever they offer their affiliates.
