How do you sign up with TradeDoubler?
I'm located outside Europe. When I try to sign up, it doesn't seem to allow international addresses (no "country" field in the form where you fill in your address). Has anyone done this?

Well, what I'd like to do is, for example, access the UK market and UK affiliate merchants, even though I don't live there.

I have an address in the USA. If I select USA as the country in the first step, however, I only get access to USA merchants.

If I select UK, on the other hand, then the system assumes I'm in the UK and asks for a UK-format address.

    Neither of those is right.

The best is to send them an email. They can "declare" you as an International Affiliate and give you access to offers from different countries but it's not automatic you have to contact them.
    I forgot you're from Malta.

Trying that, but I'm not sure they understand what I'm talking about. They keep telling me to adjust the cookies on my machine...

I don't know if you've solved this or not, but I had similar problems trying to join tradedoubler, so I contacted them and asked about it. They told me the country selection is NOT where you live, it is the market you want links for. So, just select the UK instead of the USA and fill out the form as normal. Once you have an account, you will need to contact their customer service and request your account be set up for international payment. This worked for me and it should work for you too.

    Hey!

Perhaps I can be of help?

If anybody is having trouble registering with TradeDoubler, just drop me an email and I will be happy to create the account for you. It would also be good if you could add a couple of lines about what you do and the main areas you are interested in working in. With over 400+ merchants/advertisers it can be a minefield to find out which programs will work well for your target audience!

    Thanks

    Hi Adam,

From the UK we pay in GBP, via BACS to banks in the US. Your bank will probably charge you a small fee to convert GPB in USD (unless you open an account that can handle GBP payments).

Now becuase the GBP is much stronger than the USD you will probably be better of anyway!

    As of today 1 = about $2

    USD 1.00000
    EUR 0.783667
    GBP 0.529849

So if we yanks sell a 100 item and get say 10% commission or 10 we make about $20 right?

That will be right (before the bank conversion fee).

Seems to me that with the same effort Yanks can make twice the money.

Just one of those little secrets that affiliates don't talk about.

If twice the price was being charged.

An item that would sell for $50 US may sell for 24 GB. Comes out the same after all is said and done.

    Question
i received their email today asking for IBAN number in order for future bank transfer commission payment

    i reply to them

    --------------

IBAN number system is only used in EU countries.

Banking system outside EU countries have not adopted the IBAN system yet.

Thus there is no IBAN number for banks in my country.

We still use the SWIFT CODE for international bank transfer

    ---------------

    Another question to ABW members

Other than commission from UK programs,
if i earned commission from France programs and Germany programs.

are ALL commission is to be sent from UK as well ?
    or separate ? such as
France program commission sent from France ?
German program commission sent from Germany ?

    Please tell us your experience

That is probably the reason why I am having trouble too.

    tradedoubler issues
I'm new to all of this but it looks like I'm getting the same problems as others are. In a few sections of the tradedoubler website I get the "This text is not valid for the current combination of language and Country" messages. I also get no results when I do any type of searchs for programs. I'm from the USA and from what I read on this forum that seems to be the problem. I've emailed support but I haven't received any response yet. Thanks in advance for any advice.

The whole set up on TradeDoubler is very confusing and hard to navigate, I find. Every time I go there I have to reorient myself.

Anyways, I just wanted to report that I did receive a payment from them. I just kept my bank account number out of my payment info until I accumulated enough sales to make getting a payment from them worth the $15 wire fee my bank charges me.

not too bad i would say, why ?

the interface is not as slow as Performics or cj,

TD allows you to navigate by open in new windows,
Performics drop down menu design on "Get links" forbids this option

Sanj, I've tried twice to contact TradeDoubler via their webform to request the access in my (US based) account to promote the UK Apple program + other European Apple programs. Please could you put me in touch with someone? My email is iolaire /// \\\ at \\\ /// usa.net - unfortunately I can not contact you via a PM as I'm a new member on this forum. I'm happy to provide an overview of what I do here for the US and Canada Apple Stores outside of the forum.

    Thank you, iolaire

Sanj responded, thank you. For others interested, the key is to select UK (or the country you represent) as your country not US where you are located. In my case I've been instructed to create a new account with the correct country selected.
