Yep. Looks like they have all the major brands, off brands etc.

Toilet paper? How could someone get caught in a store trying toilet paper?

I'd look for other sources on that. Or test for yourself: Put a few sheets of Charmin/Ultra Charmin (clean would probably be preferred [although dirty would degrade faster]) in your compost pile, and see if they're still there in a few weeks. I'd bet they won't last even that long if you lay them out flat.

Not only does it sound wrong, when we had our septic tank cleaned out years ago, it was quite visible that the only things in it that hadn't degraded were paper towels and cigarette butts.

At the time, we used both Charmin and Cottonelle (I think they've consolidated those into one brand, now). Except when we were out of that, then it was paper towel...and the paper towels were sitting on top, totally ignoring all bioactivity to the point of even still being fairly clean!

The septic dude said that the paper towels took about 4-5 years to degrade, and the cig butts never would. But nothing was wrong with any brand of TP then out.

I personally tested his claims by laying out a sheet of paper towel, and some sheets of toilet paper, flat, next to each other on the grass. The toilet paper was gone within days (I'd say it took about 10 days to disappear)! The paper towel's what hadn't changed a bit...the design didn't even fade.

I doubt that Charmin's changed its formula from being biodegradable to not being. Firstly, it would sell less due to eco-concerns, but even more importantly to them (and their sales!), non-biodegradable things block up septic tanks/sewer systems. And no one wants their septic or sewer jammed up.

Well it happened 2 years ago. My mom brought a remote and batteries. The batteries were 6 dollars or something. She called me to ask if I had batteries that I could give her. I told her I did. So she returns the batteries and gets her money back but she did not return the remote and the cashier didn't give her the receipt back.

anyway she goes home and I Bring her the batteries and I try to set up the remote. It was a universal remote made by Phillips and her tv was a Phillips tv. But the remote wouldn't turn it on or off. It would raise the volume change the channels but not turn the tv on or off. So we go to the store to take it back.

We didn't have the receipt that had the remote listed we just had the one that had the batteries returned. So the girl said she needed to speak to a manager. The manager comes and he says and I quote. "Puerto Ricans and other Spics like you tend to steal things and knowing that you probably stole this"

So I took the remote and said uneducated black people like you who probably had to dirty their knees just to climb the ladder deserve this. He said he didn't have to dirty his knees but before he could finish I nailed him in the head with the remote.

Then he starts screaming to kick us out the store and the security guard was like yo get out of here before he makes me call the cops and when we were walking out the security guard said he got what he deserved. I complained to CVS and they sent me a 50 dollar gift card but that guy is still the manager of the store near me.

I think I liked the other theories ("trying without buying" and "feeling the cottony texture on his cheeks") better.

That sucks that people would treat anyone like that. I don't blame you for going back.

Thanks Leader. I feel a lot better about my choice of TP now. :-)

My friend who told me about this did test Charmin and said it did not degrade in water. Made quite the case although I'd still rather fight than switch.
