I saw an online IQ test mentioned on another board and it was kind of fun. It not only comes up with a number for your IQ, it declares what kind of intelligence you have. It maybe takes ten minutes.

I'm curious to know what kind of intelligence types you web marketing types have in common....... supposedly I'm a Visionary Philosopher like Aristotle (but I think the number it gave me was somewhat inflated).

Apparently i'm a visual mathematician with an IQ of 135.

I can see 'the big picture' and am best at solving clearly defined problems.

    That's a very interesting site

    Here's what it told me...

hmmm... it said I was a "visual mathematician" also...

After reading the description of "visual mathematican", everyone who knows me engaged in a grand bout of guffawing.

    I joined them.

(as to the IQ number, I had two separate IQ tests done in childhood -- they were within 1 point of each other -- this was within 10 points of those)

Another fun one is the Keirsey Temperament Sorter

Can't believe I started this test with only one cup of java under my belt!
    Seems my Intellectual Type
    is a Word Warrior. Interesting...

Like William Shakespeare, you are equipped with a verbal arsenal that enables you to understand complex issues and communicate on a particularly high level.

he!he!he! is that why I have two libretto's on the go!

quote:
Your Intellectual Type is an Inventive Inquisitor. Interesting...

Like Benjamin Franklin, you're equally good at mathematical and verbal skills. That paired with your thirst to learn through experience makes you an inventive inquisitor.

To sum it up only Ben and I would be stupid enough to fly a kyte in a lightning storm.

133 and Insightful Linguist (Charles Dickens like!)

Either this board is completely inhabited by genius-types, or the test is wrong, or the lower scores are embarrassed to post

I suspect the regulars on this board will be significantly above average, at least for some kinds of intelligence. You just can't do the stuff that brings us together unless you're able to process some pretty arcane information!

A true genisis wouldn't tell us their score because we would all bug them for the answers to the meaning of life.

The test is accurate compared to others I've taken.

I wonder if you are supposed to use tools though.

IMO Henry Ford was a smart man because he utilized his resources, though I've heard he wasn't much smarter than Forest Gump.

Taking the test I didn't use my dictionary for a word I didn't know. I didn't use a calculator or pen&paper to do any formulas.

Are you supposed to use tools or not?

    124...I'm a Visual Mathematician too.

126.. maybe a little higher than I thought is would be.
Is this a fair-dinkum IQ test.. like the one's where "average" is 100.

quote:
126 is your Ultimate IQ score.
Your Intellectual Type is a Visual Mathematician. Interesting...

Like Albert Einstein, you have a strong ability to process visual-spatial and mathematical information. These skills combined with your strengths in logic are what make you a visual mathematician.

You're able to understand patterns visually and in numbers. That means your mind can create a mental picture for any problem. In addition to that skill, you possess an intelligence that allows you to apply math to that picture, too. That helps you manipulate multiple parts of the picture (or problem) to come up with a solution.

You have many skills that are critical to success and problem-solving. Your talents help you understand the "big picture," which is partly why people may turn to you for direction — especially in the workplace. You flourish in environments where tasks are clearly defined, and you are a whiz at improving processes and making things more efficient. Given your ability to detect patterns and your skills in math and logic, it would be natural for you to come up with ideas that simplify processes for everyone.

Great site BTW.. We spent about 3 hours doing all sorts of different tests.. great fun

Okay, I took the test earlier today, but didn't post my score .

It said I was a "word warrior", and I got a score equal to the sum of :

10 times the amount of frogs Jen caught , plus 2 times the amount Lisa caught , plus the remaining distance between the two cars that started at the same point, drove 6 miles in opposite directions , and then took a left for 8 miles .

Oops... plus a few extra points for every inch Jill is taller than Kelly . The answer is impossible to figure out .

    I'll never tell !

    Lisa
