What is the best way to pay int'l affiliates?
We have just signed up a large number of international affiliates and I would like some suggestions on how best to pay them. We are concerned they may have difficulty cashing local American checks. It needs to cost effective as we will be sending out several thousand checks a month.

    Thanks All

    Two suggestions:

    1) Make sure they can set payment thresholds so that they only get checks that are large enough to be worthwhile to them.

    2) You might want to talk with Brian at ShareASale.com to find out what they use. I know they offer direct deposit to quite a few foreign countries. He spoke about the service they use at an industry event.

Just been reading on the Neteller site. It may be a good solution. Can you tell me about your experience with it?

Do you know of anyproblems people have had with withdrawls or transfers?

It's a real beauty (at least from the affiliates side) The merchants just send the money to my Neteller Account and from there I can either do the Direct Deposit to my bank account or leave the money there and use the Neteller Debit Card.

If it's ok with the mods I can post a link to an casino affiliate forum where you can get more feedback from merchants and affiliates.

EDITED to add: nevermind, sent him the link via PM

    Hi Starlink

Similar to Neteller we have been testing out International Debit cards, these allow you to deposit funds into a US bank account and for the recipiant to pull the money out at any ATM machine world wide.

I also use the system for paying staff as you can do card to card transfers and payment collections.

Drop me a PM and I'll introduce you to the firm we use if you like

    Cheers

    Hi Chris

    Long time no speak!

does this program require int'l merchants to have a US account? It might be a solution for our national resellers, my concern is it might pose problems for int'l merchants opening US accounts.

Direct credit to my account is best, cheques are a pain - I dropped one (minor - ofr me) merchant because they kept sending a cheque each week if I had a sale. Charges meant the bank got half the amount or more for small cheques.

Paypal is good - not used the others mentioned.

Getting checks is a pain as my bank charges gbp 8.00 to process foreign checks (whether just one or several). I therefore have to collect 3 or more to make it worth while.

One company pays direct into my PayPal account and I can then direct debit straight into my own bank account for free. Only downside there is the rate of exchange used by PayPal but it is nowhere near as bad as the banks 8 pound charge.

Paypal therefore wins, no post delays, no waiting for clearance, lower charges, no postage paid by merchant and secure.
