Need Affilate Marketer To Help Small Merchant Sign Up and Roll Out
    Hi people;

I am planning to sign up with SAS as a merchant. I have a number of different SEO/SEM consulting packages, directories submission services, and article site submissions on one site and on another of my sites, a web directory, we review sites.

I need some one that is been in the affiliate end of things for awhile but would like to branch out and do some mechant set up and support. So I need some one that will take me from start to finish and set the whole program up.

After I have the program setup and fully automated (11 different sizes of banners for each product, rss feeds for content related to each product, etc) I would may be interested in a number of ways to market this.

I may look at some one to work the affiliate boards for me, I may be interested in getting up with some affiliate manager and their networks of affiliates.

I am looking for people in the know and that have been around are doing well in there affiliate sites and are looking to branch out.

My SEO/SEM consultant site currently does quite well for being up for 1.5 years and my web directory also does well.

Both sites are currently in a position where I can double or every triple the work I am doing.

We are a team of 3 full time people (directory editor, link coordinator and my self doing SEO/SEM consulting) in Ontario with 2 different teams in Romania on contract and a few programmers scattered here and there.

Please contact me via PM or access my information and go to my contact page and get me on AIM/ICQ/MSN/YIM.

    Thanks!

    Hey Bob,

Check out Andy Rodriguez or Greg Rice, both are on Abestweb and are specialists at what you are looking for.

I talked to Andy and he seems to have a number of projects on the go right now plus I think that my project is to small for him. Andy is doing projects that are grossing over $500k a month so I don't think he would be interested in my smaller project : )

While I haven't talked to Grep I have looked over what he is doing and I think he is over my head also. My project is a small project.

I think what I am looking for is some thing that is doing affiliates and is either looking at becoming an affiliate manager or is just starting out as one. My project is to small for the big names to be interested in it.

There are plenty of consultants right here on ABW, and even if you are "small" it will cost you $$ as noted above.

Do you have some kind of a dollar number. Also what would be your guess as far as the number of hours to register on SAS, add up banners and content for 5 or 6 different product pages, add a page on 2 of my sites noting how to sign up for as an affilate.

I am not sure what else would need to be done.

Then there is the next issue. The best way to tap into a network of affiliates and get my merchant offering infront of them.

    Thanks!

Bob, as previously discussed on IM ...

    Fees for services performed:

    • Monthly Consulting: ( $3,000 - by phone, email and IM )
    • Hourly Phone Consulting: ($300.00 / hour - by phone, email and IM )
    • Full Outsourced Program Management: ($5,000 - $10,000 per month / brand)
    • Sales Performance Bonus: (% of sales, as agreed)
    • Creative Services: (Quoted as needed)
    • Data Feed Services: (Quoted as needed)
Now we are on the high end, you may find lower rates around ABW and outside. But consider start up charges at a min of $2,000 and a min of $2,500 per month to run the program.

Keep in mind, what you are paying for is the "relationships" mostly ...

AM's are a dime a dozen .. AM's that are trusted, know what they are doing, follow ethical best practices and have a strong, loyal following are a rare and expensive commodity...
    Good luck in your search...

If you find an OPM who works with small projects, your project will always be a small project.

A good OPM will typically cost you around $5k/month plus a percent of sales. An inferior OPM knows what their services are worth.

You can't just build a program and expect it to succeed. It's an ongoing process. If you don't know what needs to be done, you probably need some training:

So Bob are you selling product or services or both? Will it be a lead or % of the sale type of thing?

Talk to the people at ShareASale and see what they recommend, they may have consulting services as well. As has been noted many times, this is a business you are building and it will cost money to do it right. If you cut corners and treat it like a small project, you will reap what you sow I really don't think you want it to be a "small project" or you wouldn't be on ABW where you know there are power affiliates paying attention.

    >>>Now we are on the high end...

    No kidding : )

    >>>Keep in mind, what you are paying for is the "relationships" mostly ...

    Very very true!

I am considering hiring some that doesn't have the "relationships" but it in the know enough to set things all up for me right as far as the SAS stuff and a page on my site (or what ever else needs to be done). That part doesn't seem to big an issue.

I am considering offering a fairly high commission on my two directory review products of $39.95 and $159.95. I think that would pull the affiliates in.

I am considering the next step would be get hire some one from this board that is known to promote the produce and contact the affiliate publishers in all the good networks.

    MichaelColey:

    >>If you find an OPM who works with small projects, your project will always be a small project.

Even if the project got good exposure on a quality board like ABW and had good commissions?

    >>>You can't just build a program and expect it to succeed. It's an ongoing process. If you don't know what needs to be done, you probably need some training:

I would agree with this. I am doing quite a bit of research and reading here but at some point I will require some consulting services for sure.

    >>>--=> Sign the Petition against CJ's LMI! <=--

Good job. How many signatures do you expect to get?

    nakedgamer:

    >>>So Bob are you selling product or services or both?

I am going to do my setup web directory site first as I can very easily deal with a growth of 100 to 300% with out to much of a problem and web editors are pretty easy to find and train. Then I will do my SEO company services later.

So in both cases they will be services.

    >>>Will it be a lead or % of the sale type of thing?

It will be a % of the sale. And I am considering running a two tier payment.

    Webworker:

    >>>Keep the week of Aug. 20, 2006 open and do this:

Thanks for the tip. I have looked that this seminar and am considering it.

    loxly:

    >>>Talk to the people at ShareASale and see what they recommend, they may have consulting services as well.

Very good point! That is on my todo list now.

    >>>As has been noted many times, this is a business you are building and it will cost money to do it right.

I don't have a problem with this. While I don't have $5000 to $10000 per month for OPM I do have some coin to spend.

    >>>I really don't think you want it to be a "small project" or you wouldn't be on ABW where you know there are power affiliates paying attention.

Well web directories are inherently small projects. I think bluefind in its hayday may have done $50k a month and there are a few other directories like Best of the Web and Uncover the Net that are doing more than that.

Perhaps I have yet to realize the power of affiliate marketing.
