URL Redirects - Who Uses Them?
I'm trying to get a little more info about redirects. I'm curious as to how many affiliates use them? A small fraction? Half? Most Everyone?

If you do use them, why?

Any info (or links to resources) would be much appreciated.

IF that refers to the option to make a banner or text link point to any page on the site, it helps to better match the content of a page or a keyword to the landing page.

I use them on all of my sites as of this moment. The absolute main reason I do this is so that I can track clicks, and more importantly, referring info from the search engines - need to know what keywords are being used and towards what sales they apply to.

So, as an example, if a merchant's banner normally takes the clicker to the merchant's home page, you might use a redirect to send the clicker to a specific page at the merchant's site--say, the Product X page--because your site is featuring/targeting Product X.

    Am I understanding that correctly?

Right on the money, with some merchants you can do that right in the CJ interface.
