    Just wanted to share...
Got my second-ever cheque from Linkshare today, and was shocked to see that I made $26.92!! I realize this is complete peanuts to most, but I'm so excited! Last time I got a cheque for $1.56 or something - hehe.

Here's to a bigger one next month, hopefully! What an encouraging day!

Gingerbread, pretty soon you'll start getting multiple checks from various merchants and networks. That's when it gets fun.

Thanks all - several hours later and I'm still pumped! But yes - next step is multiple cheques from multiple merchants/networks/programs!

I miss the checks! Direct deposit is not as much fun.

I like direct deposit when it goes directly into an online banking account making 4.65% interest No more walking to the bank for this guy! Now I go directly to the dog park or to the Memorial Union Terrace for a beer here in Madison.

I looked at my stats for all of last year (on one of my sites) and found I sent thousands of visitors to a merchant I used to work with and I only got $60 in commissions. I'm working with a new merchant this year on the same site and already have over $3,000 in commissions. Nice when a change works that well.

I've been doing this for a few years now and it keeps getting better. Most of my sites are doing better, but I still have a ways to go. Most of my success is thanks of course to being a lurker on these boards for a long time. Glad now to be posting so I can share my thoughts, ABestWebucation, and motivation with others.

    Congratulations, it's a great feeling!

I still get tickled with each sale, it hasn't been as long as some people (or as much), but it's been long enough to get over the thrill of it - and I still haven't.

I was just talking to my husband tonight about how exciting it is to start hitting different milestones with checks. I remember the first time that I ever got a $100 check (it was probably for 3 months' worth of sales!) and how excited I was. It is all progress!

That is a great start. Keep it up.

I used to have my aff program and LS payed once every 30 or 60 days. That was back then and people had minimum payout at $30 or so.

    That was a bummer..

    Keep up the good work!

Getting the first check is always the best. Getting a second is icing on the cake. Getting your 100th check is getting a lot closer to quiting our day job if you have not already.

Congrats and don't let any poor months get you down. It is up and down, but as long as it gets better over several months you are doing good.

Congrats Gingerbread, here's to many more!

I had proudly announced my first sale here, and that was 4 months ago... I'm not turning a big profit (yet!), but I'm happy to say I'm up to 75 sales since that time. Not to mention how surprised my friends have been at my "little website project"...

I've learned so much from the group here; everyone is always ready to help & provide encouragement. I may have said this before, but thanks all! I hope one day to become a knowledgeable resource for more newbies like me...
