Rebuilding CJ links. What will you do?
I won't rebuild my CJ links for anyone, not even the merchants I've been happy doing business with for years. I will rebuild my links for those merchants who take their program in-house or who join SAS. (I will probably not rebuild my links for merchants who go to LS or Performics.)

So I wondered if others felt the same as me.

Affiliates, please take the poll. Merchants, are you listening to us? I hope so.

This is a multiple choice poll. Please try not to choose conflicting responses, otherwise choose as many as reflect your stance.

Nobody has a monopoly on anything. For almost every program on CJ, there is a suitable alternative elsewhere.

In the very few cases where there is not a suitable replacement, it only takes two minutes to delete a directory and send the traffic to a custom 404 page with interesting offers. The time saved there can be applied to other productive endeavors.

I'm slowly removing CJ links and in some cases just placing this in .
Z Company - sells unique Gifts and Collectibles such as Dolls, Dolphins, Hummingbirds, Spun Glass, Tea Sets, Candles, Fragrances, Jewelry, Home Decor, Nautical, American Heritage and more.
Currently Off Line - we recommend - Y.com (link to another mechant)
Maybe some merchants will get the message!

I won't be abandoning my top CJ merchant, but on the other hand, I won't be doing anything additional or new for them.

I am thinking of creating some pages for CJ merchants (with a money making track record) where their product is the solely featured item for sale on the page. The page will take only one javascript link and that will be it -- the one product I wish to feature on that page.

The javascript links create a burden for the webmaster because the js links take more time to open to the merchant's page than regular html links

I've been with cj for over 3 years now, and have a few good producers with them. I'm leaning towards changing only those merchants where I'm still making a profit.
I'm just not looking forward to digging up my old harddrive
from my first computer where I had most all of those hand-coded pages saved into.
