    Javascript tips and tricks
I am going to post some tips and tricks for the javascript links here. feel free to add your own.

    Tip 1:
Adding color, size and or font to your text links

    HTML Code:
    between <link> </link> add <font color="yourcolor" size"yoursize">your text</font>
When the javascript displays it will have your color size and font you pre defined.

    Tip 2:
Adding unclickable text to your text link
In the text hyper link box do the following
    HTML Code:
Unclickable text <link>Clickable Text</link> unclickable text
Combine Tip 1 and Tip Two

    HTML Code:
I love <link>Abest Web</link> but I really <font color="red">Hate</font> CJ. That is why I always come to <link>Abest Web</link> to complain about CJ.
Notice how the link tags is around abest web twice. When the javascript displays both abest webs will be links the word hate will be red. only the two instances of Abest web are clickable.

    Tip 3:
Make your own banner ads using text links.

    HTML Code:
    <link><img src="your_Image_file" border="0" alt="blahblah" width="468" height="60"></link>

Here's a tip. If you use an iframe to load the javascript links to your site, it can help you in two ways:

    1) It will prevent ValueClick from spying on your site's valuable referrer information, keywords, etc...

    2) Let's say you've posted a 120x60 banner into a column on the side your site. With javascript links, there would be nothing to stop your merchant from switching this to a 468x60 banner, and completely throwing off your site's formatting. But... If you load the banner inside an iframe and define the width to 120 pixels, the new banner might look a little weird, but at least it won't destroy your formatting.

    < iframe marginWidth=0 marginHeight=0 src="http://example.com/page-containing-JS-link.html" frameBorder="0" width="120" height="60" scrolling=no>< /iframe>

Has anyone asked CJ if these, or other link alterations are okay to use?
Or would the merchants also have a say in that?

    What about automatical redirection like

    ^script^
    location = "http.//newlocation......;
    ^script^

This will not work with the new JS links. Is there any possibility to manage that?

I am not sure if redirect is against TOS. Check out this article: http://www.jangro.com/tools/jsredirect.php
