Can someone tell me how I get a link to go to a specific group of items at ebay?

Ebay has a page on their site, http://pages.ebay.com/affiliate/cjflexiblelink.html, which I set up two months ago and I have gotten not one link and not one impressions. Surely there is another way to do this.

Thanks!

No, that's the way.

You're not getting impressions because the link generator does not inclue a 1x1 impression tracking graphic.

As to why no clicks, that I don't know. But I'd triple-check to make sure I'd enter my PID correctly.

I'm going to try messing with the link code one several differnt pages and see which one starts working. Heck, don't know why I go to the trouble. Ebay is the only one I ever get reversed on and they do that plenty.

Okay, now I really have a problem with my ebay links. I went in and edited about 20 of them and when I tried to test them I found the the links now include my web address before the www.qksrv.net/click-

So now the links are www.mydomainname.com/www.qksrv.net/click-(etc)
When I went back to edit the page and links, I checked all the html code and it DOES NOT start with www.mydomainname.com/

Anyone have any idea why this is happening? Is it a full moon or something?

Ron,

Did you forget to put the http:// in front of www.qksrv.net?

If you log onto cj.com and look at ebays links they have one that says "do not use". This link is set aside for those that use ebays flexilink tool, you can use the 1x1 tracking image from that to track impressions.

Duh! And to think I have been creating web sites for eight years.

I made the mistake of copying a bad link without the http:// over and over again.

I should have seen that. Thanks.

Ron,

Are you getting 5 cent sales, but just not impressions? The reason for no impressions was answered above; however, are you sure you're using your PID and not your Account Number?

There was a discussion about this in the chat room over that long weekend that the site was being upgraded. Turned out that the person was using the wrong number when generating the links at the ebay site.

Yeah, I think I was using the wrong number. I went in and put a specific web site number in and it appears to be working. Now we will see if any nickles come in or I get any of those $5 (always reversed).

Thanks all for your help and suggestions.

I have actually had several ebay leads that were not reversed. I get a handful of nickel "sales" every day, and about 95% of them come from the flexible destination link.

I too have had good luck with the eBay Flex Destination Link. Although, some days it seems I get a lot of "clickers" but no bidders.

That is frustrating! 40-50 clicks and no bids doesn't bode well for the EPC numbers.
