I was just sitting here contemplating life and saw this post...ROFL.

Really, if I'm lucky NOTHING!!!!

Will watch my finches at the feeders for awhile and maybe work on this pitiful thing I call a website, or I can do something really fun like put together the Bunny Baskets for the children on my list. There's nocandy involved because they have to travel a distance so I can play around with them.

Being retired is a joy. Being disabled is a pain in the BUTT!!!!!

I might have actually not spent 5 hours on live chat.
I might have done some work on my pages.
I might have not watched american psycho with my girlfriend (crap movie anyway)
I might not have eaten too much for lunch.
I might not have ridden 25km on my bicycle.

maybe...

at least tomorrow (monday) is a public holiday here..
let's see how that pans out

I got up at 9, did a long run with my wife thru the parks nearby, took a shower.

Made breakfast for the family (2 kids) and a guest. Finished breakfast at 12:30 p.m.

Smoked a cigar outside in the sun and drank coffe (italian espresso ). Went to the PC, checked some stats, visited ABW.

It's 2:25 p.m here now. No plan for what is next... Maybe go for a nice cup of ice in an hour?

I think the ancient concept of "sabbath", systematically taking a day away from business as usual, is wisdom worth following. I'll check stats, boards, email, but save page-work until tomorrow.

Among other things, I'll be having lunch with friends, and might go for a swim at the Y later. (It's too cold and windy for walking/running to be pleasant.)

6 week old dd has an 11:00 doctor's appointment, her third trip this week. Then we have to go pick up ds who spent the night at Grandma's. Then we have to drive out and pick up the car my mom is giving us because dh's lease is up tomorrow and we splurged on a 2002 mini-van for the big ol' family She just got a new car and her old one is a 1993 Tempo, still in pretty excellent condition. Will get dh to work and back for quite a while and we will have the van here during the day. So, I don't know about fun, but that's what we're doing

I took a run through the park with your girlfriend and treated her to Cafe Latte'. Then I have to figure out what the World Leaders are going to do to recover from Sunday's Middle East Events.

30 Israelies slaughtered with 12 in a cafe right next door to their War Monger PM Sharon. Arafat's terrorist groups both taking credit for the mass killings. Israel flattened the Palestinian Capital complex and Arafats normal palace. More sure to follow.

The Tribal oriented Afganistan's thru a monkey wrench into the USA led attack on a La Quada/Taleban stronghold. The 1000 reinforcements impose a lull in the attack since they want to negotiate surrender to the remaining die hard terrorists. US Generals have to have their panties in a knot over that since they don't want escapes -reinforcements or rest for the enemy.

Look for more Hindu vs Islam hatered to get fueled by some terrorist Kismar liberation attacks to get back the limelight from the Palestinians. Our Envoy to Israel has both hands tied behind his back looking down a barrel pointed by racial hatred and revenge. At least Bin Laden doesn't have to take his 5 wives and 14 Kids to the Mall and Movie today.

Guess I'll go build some pages for clients today.

Well, so far I have only managed to take a shower today. LOL But I will be going to dinner at Dad's house for my G-Mom's B-day at 3pm, then, chruch at 5pm. Then home for the night. Pretty boring day over all. I am dissapointed because we were going to take a flight (brother has plots license and airplain) to Ocean City to have brunch. But it is too windy for that. So just dinner at Dad's. O and of course I had to come to ABW

A summary of the day.

I was woken by a four and a half year old international terrorist crashing through my bedroom door at 06:45 saying “dad, dad it’s time to get up now”.

After convincing her that I was only an innocent by-sleeper and politely informing her that if she did not go back to bed until it was a reasonable time to get up, her nether regions would keep her warm for the rest of the day. She withdrew.

After waiting an intolerable amount of time, she returned and re-awoke me 10 minutes later. This procedure was repeated until I was forced down stairs at nag-point to a) make breakfast and b) turn on the TV to watch her favorite film (movie). At this time I was hoping to be released, but was forced to stay on the couch because the wicked witch scared here. I tried to go to sleep again, but had to explain what was happening in HER favorite film (why do women do that?).

20 minutes later my other (Baby) daughter was crying. So I promptly tramped back up the stairs to collect her and fed her the regulation 200ml of feed.

I spent the next three hours trying to keep both kids QUIETLY entertained so they would not wake my wife (who by international treaty SHOULD have woke to the cries of daughter no2). When my wife eventually woke, she came down stairs and promptly told me what a great lie in she had had, and was it not a wonderfully quiet day. Feeling safe, I went back to bed and tried to sleep.

I was woken 15 minutes later because mum was boring and that I was needed to play.

OK, I gave up. Time to get up and go out. After a long walk designed to exhaust my daughter, we returned home so that I could collapse.

The rest of the day was taken up playing snap, fishing and domino games. It is now six in the evening. I have turned the clocks forward two hours and told my daughter that it is time for bed.

Ahh, peace at last. I had a great, and exhausting day with my kids, my wife had a relaxing motherÂ’s day and I still had time to visit ABW.

I think I will go to bed now, as I have an appointment with a four and a half year old terrorist first thing in the morning, tee he hee, cant wait.

Wayder - LOL!!! Great Story. That is so cute. I miss the baby days. I have half grown kids now that tell me when it's time to go grocery shopping. LOL!!

Today was a very lazy day for me. I worked this morning for a few hours and this afternoon for a few and then I took a LONG break and watched the movie "BIG" with Tom Hanks with my kids. Now it's 7:45 p.m. and I'm seriously ready for bed. I'm beat.

Thanks, this was not the end of the story though.

After getting daughter number 1 to bed, daughter number2 who is too young to be fooled by clocks, was having none of it.

She started to cry until she was picked up. When in my arms she immediately fell asleep. At that point I made the mistake of thinking I could put her down again. She promptly woke up and dispelled THAT idea, and cried until I picked her up again. This cycle continued with my wife and myself without rest until 01:00 Monday morning when we eventually managed to get her into bed and asleep.

Guess what. Daughter number 1 who went to bed early, was up before the dawn this Monday morning. Daddy, daddy, is it time for school yet?

That will teach me to live a deceitful life.
I promise in the future, never to lie to my kids again, Father Christmas, exempt.
