    Question Can Webmerge do Horizontal Lists?
    I'm sorry, I couldn't find it, but does Webmerge do Horizontal lists instead of all straight down the page? Thank you.

    Horizontal lists are usually a CSS thing, is that what you mean?

    No, I don't think so. I mean say I have ten items. Instead of ten of items from my datafeed going straight down, I want them to go left to right, five in each row.

    Yes all you need to do is specify the number of columns. I can't remember offhand how to code it so maybe someone could refresh my memory. I remeber you add cols=# somewhere.

    Thank you. Now I have it where some times it works and sometimes it looks odd.

    Code:
    [WM-Record cols=3]

    <img src="[WM-Field: IMAGEURL]" title="click for more shoe shopping information"/>

    <a href="./shoes_all/[WM-Field: ID].html">
    [WM-Field: MANUFACTURER] &nbsp; [WM-Field: NAME]
    </a>

    [/WM-Record]
    Any idea why it would do right on some pages, but not on others?

    Does "columns" indicate that it's a table layout being used?

    That's what it produces in the code.

    anyone know how to add some cellspacing and cellpadding? Otherwise things seem to run too close together.

    Talking
    Try

    [WM-Record cols=3 padding-left: 6px; padding-right: 6px; padding-top: 10px; padding-bottom: 10px]

    I don't know if it works or not but it wouldn't hurt to try it.

    Thx Burger unfortunately it didn't help lol. The main problem is on produt pages in that the 2nd and subsequent rows ae too close to the top row.

    Experiment with the <BR> tag.

    I think I read here in this forum that the col thing hung up sometimes if the number of listings was not divisible by the number of cols you indicated. Like 3 cols - you had to have the right number of listings without any leftovers.

    I believe that was fixed more than half a year ago. I've asked people who suggest this may still be an issue to please send me the files I would need to see it here, but for a long time now I haven't seen any instance where this is still the case.

    If you find one, please send me the files I'll need to see it....

    Where did you add these tags at? I can't get cols=x to work consistently. Thanks.

    I added the cols=3 in the record tag and put the <p><p> right before the end record tag.
