A Plea to Frank Gerstenderger, Director of Product Management
    Frank,

Now that you are back from your two week absence, can we get some kind of support person here to address the many problems and concerns that have been identified with LMI, Phases I & II? We are starting to see a domino effect as a result of implementation of LMI with merchants and affiliates, even staggering delays with AAQ support. CJ really needs to step up to the plate and have a spokesman here.

Get together with Haiko and set up a moderated thread where we can keep all the comments/questions on track and appropriate. You can set up the rules of the thread however you want. I don't want this to be a finger pointing thread, just an opportunity for affiliates to ask valid questions and get quick, appropriate responses.

Agreed, but let's not derail this thread, if possible. I sincerely want Mr. Gerstenderger to provide us with a support/contact person here at ABW. Heck, I'd even promise to be an unbiased moderator of the thread if Haiko saw fit. There are other threads to voice feelings about the change, I just want one where we can ask questions and get quick, honest answers.

I want to ride a Unicorn. I'd like to see a moderated Q&A but don't think it will ever happen. Merchants have posted they're not even getting answers to their questions. Fill out a ticket and we'll get back to you kind of deal. Or listen to our podcast where they pick the questions they feel like answering.

Yes, but if we ask publicly for this and CJ ignores us...well, they have only themselves to blame for their failure.

No matter what some people thought of Todd, I felt we could get his attention and be heard, plus he was quick to give us answers when he was in town. I rarely PM'd him, but he was always nice to deal with and helped me some important issues from time to time. We'll never get another Todd Crawford, but I would like at least a person here (and it would have to be a moderated thread with ground rules, I'm sure) that we can talk to.

    Speaking of walls:

MR. GERSTENDERGER, TEAR DOWN THIS WALL (of silence).

CJ's silence is deafening. It sends the wrong message to affiliates and merchants at EXACTLY the time that CJ needs to be transparent with its intentions as well as its progress in solving the numerous problems arising from an almost universally panned initiative. All we are asking for is some discourse with at least one respresentative of CJ who can speak for your company to address the mounting concerns.

Well, Mr. Gerstenderger, it sounds like folks want a person here to talk to. Can we at the very least get an answer from you either way?

    Mr. Gerstenderger,

The word is now out that HTML links are here to stay (Hurray!). However good news this is, we still need and want a CJ representative here. Can you respond to this?

    Bump - more confusion
This thread needs to be bumped. There's now all-out confusion as to what CJ is or isn't doing with respect to the LMI rollout. Mr. Gerstenderger, please respond to our collective plea. Or ask someone from within CJ with the authority to comment publicly to consult with Haiko, the board administrator, and start a moderated thread to make announcements and/or answer some of the pressing questions that your advertisers as well as your publishers have.

If CJ does not respond, we are forced to assume the worst: that CJ's staff members are in a state of disarray and not in agreement about the LMI plans, that there is no official message to CJ's clients in response to their recent concerns, and that there has been gross incompetence in both the LMI implementation itself as well as the handling of the PR fiasco that has resulted from CJ's decisions and thus far problematic implementation. CJ's clients are clearly jumping ship left and right. Please give us a sign that you understand what is going on and are addressing these issues.

Okay, Frank must still be out of town (or has reasons for not wanting to be here). How about some other CJ CEO's, can you do us the courtesy of responding?

    Lex Sisney?
    Jim Zarley?
    Tom Vadnais?
    Jim Buckley?
    Per Pettersen?

Edited as I realized half of the CEO's I listed had resigned from CJ. Hmmmm....

it would be interesting to have a list those that have left in the last 6 months, keeping in mind that acquisitions sometimes prompt change.

Well, in just the last few months the following resigned (or were asked to):

Jeff Pullen (was president and CEO)
Elizabeth Cholawsky (SVP, marketing and product development)
    Todd Crawford (VP of sales)

That's just the top and a very significant part, too. We have no idea how many of the troops in the trenches have left.

I remember when the exodus occurred there were people saying it was only natural for folks to leave and that perhaps many of the top administration were asked to stay on during the transition time. Now that CJ has implemented LMI and the speculations of datamining, etc., I think we have a clearer picture regarding their departures. I'm sure it was very difficult for Jeff, Elizabeth and Todd to stick around and watch ValueClick tear down all that they had helped build over the years. As the saying goes, I think they saw the handwriting on the wall.

    CJ CEO's,

Now, more than ever, we need a voice here! With the word yesterday that CJ is now sending threatening letters to good affiliates, it would seem even more important for CJ to try to fix their tarnished image by putting a representative here.

What is it you that you all are afraid of?
