    Hi All,
The password expiration is every 90 days. I know many affiliates are finding this new policy frustrating. We heard this from the members of the Affiliate Advisory Board.

If my bank and my credit card companies are not requiring I every change my passwords, why is LS requireing we do it every 90 days? And if affiliates and merchants are unhappy about it, and you know about it, why still is it being left that way.

We are frustrated of course that we can't log in (and then have to wait once we change the password), but maybe if we knew why LS is requiring this we might better understand it. Has there been a bunch of people trying to steal our information? Is there something we should be worried about? Just why was this implemented?

Someone read in a trade magazine that if you force the user passwords to change often and enforce the use of long and complicated new passwords, you will have very few problems with crackers breaking into your computer system --- of course you will also have very few users using your system --- but that is a different person's problem

Not to mention the fact that this is not required for any other network out there.

I'm sorry to say but the truth is that I really hate using LS, its a slow dog and having to type my user name & login details plus password into IE each time I want to go and get links is a complete NIGHTMARE! How are we meant to update links if you stick brick walls and the like in front of us and grabbing links is just as slow as you have to go though and grab one at a time and wait till it opens in new page - yawn ....?

There is no saving login or password and whoever programed this sites security really needs to wake up and learn the basic's on user friendly interface as today I got so many errors and had to turn the whole site off as it wanting to crash my browser as it was so bad. its 2006 not 1996 ...!!

Why are affiliate networks wanting to make it so difficult for affiliates to use the site these days? I mean when was the last time we seen a interface overhaul on LS?

Well, let them change it themselves, implementation system wide is asinine.

Use Firefox to log into LS and you only have to type the image code at each login.

    glinted,

Perhaps I am just lucky. I change my password twice every 90 days. Firefox just keeps on working. I make the changes using IE, however. There is a hint in this post.
