    Linkshare LMI
Is it true you guys are getting rid of the HTML links?

I was just reading an email from a CJ merchant and they said that we shouldn't leave them for a Linkshare Merchant because Linkshare is planning the same thing. This CJ merchant is an OLD Linkshare merchant.

Was that Merchant speaking out their butt, or are there plans for LMI like links at Linkshare?

From what I heard LS has abandoned their encrypted link plans.

There seems to be some confusion here.

    Facts:

Linkshare offers DRM links, which are javascript. They are offered by some merchants, not all, and no one has ever said they will be required.

Linkshare proposed doing some encrypted links, but they were NOT Javascript links. Not related at all. They are not moving forward with that project.

Micheal Coley, I believe there was a thread where you posted more details. Could you add a link here so there is no confusion?

Here is the thread where the Linkshare Mod says that Linkshare is not going to go exclusively javascript:

No, the Linkshare moderator posted that. They've always had javascript links available for merchants to use to give to their affiliates. Some merchants have them, some don't. It's the way it should work, you have the option to use whichever ones you want.

    Hi All,
Skishore has the correct facts. LinkShare has no plans to move to javascript only links. We do offer merchants and affiliates the option to use javascript with our Dynamic Rich Media (DRM). The link encryption project has been put on hold. Hope this helps to reassure you that we are not moving to javascript only.

It's great having a major network that actually communicates with us here.

How recently did the merchant send that email out? Is CJ still spreading those lies to their merchants? LinkShare's legal team should get on that.
