My PR is higher on my secondary pages than it is on my homepage, but all the links I have from other sites (well, most of them) point to my homepage! In light of this, I would have thought that it would be my homepage that would have the higher PR. Is this just completely flawed thinking on my part?
I'd like to get my homepage's PR up higher, but it seems to be stuck at a measly 2.

1. Does your homepage URL resolve to both with and without the www, in addition to yoursite.com/index.htm?
2. Are there links to more than one homepage version, either through inbound links or from internal links on your own site?
All links should point to a choice of one version only of example.com/ consistently, and if there's more than one version resolving then a 301 redirect needs to be done.
There could be other reasons, but the most common would be splitting the IBLs and PR between different root URL versions/URLs.

Oh dear - I just checked and looks like that's the problem.
All these URLs resolve:
www.mysite.com (PR 2)
mysite.com (PR 2)
www.mysite.com/index.html (PR 0)
All links on my site that point back to the homepage go to http://www.mysite.com.
To my knowledge, all external links (on other people's sites) pointing to my site go to http://www.mysite.com.
webworker, I take it that I should be looking into getting a 301 redirect set up, then? Hopefully there are some simple tutorials out there.
Does this mean that I might actually have a PR 4 that's split between two URLs?
