Thumbs down Pressure this merchant to report sales.

    30 $66.19
    average commission= 7 Day ($14.05)
    30 $10.71

Since March 2006 SAS creatives for this merchant produced 2285 clicks for me with the only sale being 1 test purchase ... LOL.

Since Jan 2006 CJ creatives produced 5312 click with 2 sales ( one being a test purchase)

Brian I trust you'll go just beyond the cursory merchant sales reporting checking, and get to the bottom of where these sales are going. 7500 very targeted clicks from www.ecomcity.com/bonsai.htm resulting in 1 legit sale reported is beyond any statistical anonomoly.

When a customer get to the checkout screen, does it say "If you have a coupon or other special discount promo code, enter it HERE"?

If so, the savvy shoppers went looking for the coupon that you did not provide for them.

Try adding some value to the click.

    Move on, Mike.
Don't promote them anymore. Either, you're a couponer or you're not.
They have a coupon code box just before the check-out. "Your savvy shoppers went looking for the coupon that you did not provide for them." NoWires is right.
    It's not a statistical anomaly.
I don't provide coupons so I don't promote merchants with a coupon box. Period.

I could understand losing some sales if customers went off to find a coupon but not all of them. From those numbers of targetted hits I would have expected several sales in any case. Sounds like a merchant that might be well worth avoiding.

"only sale being 1 test purchase "

So they are tracking and reporting sales then.

Just ditch them if they aren't working out for you. Better to try something else and have it work out just as badly, than to spend a few years flogging a horse that has already proven to be a losing proposition for you.

I do pretty good with them. I searched and found a long time ago Mike actually did good with them, called them "A jewel nestled amongst a bunch of thorns"

Yeah, WoW was an easy converter back then too. Things change.

You are correct Trustno1. I was in their top 5 for a couple years and expanded my creatives so I averaged 1 sale per 25 clicks making at least 200.00/month on half the traffic I give them now. Biggest mistake was to announce them at ABW. Every sheister and cookie cannon picked up upon it and forced the merchant to put up a huge 800# banner, and seek diversion tactics so common when the incenters get their teeth into their hides.

Batch processing is wide open to inside commission theft. I suspected they didn't want to let on either an employee had friends with multiple accounts, or someone at CJ kited my sales from the batch reports and funneled them to another affiliate. Simple task to tag my affiliate ID (or anyones) and replace it with another ID#. My test by opening up both SAS and CJ was geared towards getting someone at BBNY to research all original sales orders for my ID #s and track where the order #s got credited. Not a peep, or response, since they agreed to a test purchase over a month ago.

Erego the danger of being on 2 networks... One good, one bad.

You don't need CJ, BBNY. Let them go gently into the night...
