I've made a decision - I'm giving my Letter of Resignation on Monday, April 1st - ohhh - that's April Fools Day - but this will be no joke. LOL!! It will be effective 2 weeks from April 16th meaning my last day will be April 26th. Omigauld, I'm actually doing it. I'm quitting my Day Job. Wish me luck -I'm scared to turn in my resignation - but man it feels GOOD!!!

Ps. Leader - thanks for encouraging me even further with your comment "ONLY A MONTH" and making me realize how much the Day Job SUCKED!!! Heck - June 1st was just too far away. LOL!!

Dynamoo - your time will come, just don't give up.

Thank you all for the good luck wishes. Plan to succeed and you shall. I just told my SO - he thought I was just joking when I told him a month ago. He was like "foreal, seriously." So I had to repeat the whole explanation again. You know, when I told him a month ago, it was one of those days when he was watchin sports and probably didn't hear a word I said. LOL!!! Anyway, he said he has faith in me and will support my decision.

    Congrats Jada!

I must say, you and Potato are nicer to employers than I usually was <IMG src=http://www.abestweb.com/ubb/icons/icon38.gif>

I gave one place a 2-week notice (a REAL 2 week notice--as in: Bye, two weeks after handing in the notice)--the others either got an Instant Notice ("Bye!") or had to figure it out for themselves when I stopped coming anymore.

I do have to ask, what's the point of saying "it's effective 2 weeks after the 16th?" instead of calling it a 3 1/2 week notice?

Anyway, when you punch out that last time, you will certainly notice a change in your surroundings.

The sun will shine brighter even when it's raining

The birds will sing more in tune, and louder

All of nature will be in harmony--and you'll really notice it, probably for the first time in years

    Vegetables will grow better

    Flowers will be brighter

    Lawns will look greener

Radios will seem more tuned in

    Things will look cleaner

Joyous children, even the ones that aren't yours, will make you glad instead of jealous

You may yell HI at the mailman

A weight will be lifted from you

And you will look younger--even if you already look young!

Dynamoo--It's just a matter of time between expressing a desire to leave, and the squealing of the tires as you leave the lot that final time!

    Congrats to you!

Well, I work on the public school calendar.

That means, I have all summer off. Sure would be nice to have no reason to return next year, wouldn't it?

"An idea is never given to you without you being given the power to make it reality. You may have to work for it, however" ` RB

It was first the idea of leader to quit employment and work fulltime affiliate marketing, she worked for it and is successful,

Jada, just don't forget the last part.

Internet Guru - I won't forget the last part and that is to work hard for it.

Leader - I am cool with the HR Director and she said instead of carrying the stress of waiting until the 16th to give the notice to just give it on the first making it effective on the 16th. Actually now my last day will be May 3rd. If I work a few days into May I'll be covered for health insurance until June.

I've been there for 3 1/2 years - I feel it only right to give a 3-4 week notice. I'm too nice.

Go for it Jada! You can always get another day job if you have to, but the opportunities to live your dreams are few.

    "I've been there for 3 1/2 years~Jada"

3 1/2 years, gak! (gagging sounds, holding throat!)

Most a j*b ever got outta me was 9 months!

    9 months too long...

Jason--you couldn't find us? Hm, I guess you didn't see those "informative notices" Haiko strategically left around CJU...

Anyway, NEWBIE, your classification changes depending on how many posts you make. I forgot just how many it takes to change from being a Newbie, but it's not too many. When you make enough, you'll get another dot ("pip") under your name and a better designation. Tops is 5 pips.

    Jada best wishes.

I’ve found that it is best not to burn any bridges. I think it is great that you stepped out on your own and that you’re leaving with dignity and professionalism. I have no doubt that you’ll do great with those two qualities.

Now if I could just force those qualities on myself, I could do the same. Naw, Cheif peon is my roll in life.

Congratulations Jada! I'm sure you are going to do super. Best of luck to you.

Leader - great post about all the wonderful changes in a person's surroundings when he or she quits. I can't wait to experience those for myself!

    Cheers,
