Having nothing to do with PPC fiasco, as my ads so far hadn't been affected, I turned off AdWords today to do some retooling. Actually, I did it late last night.
I had my best sales day of the year today.

Ok, well, day 2 of no Adwords, and my second straight excellent sales day. In fact, up 23% from yesterday.
So what can we learn here?
What I will take away is that I need to really scrutinize my keywords. Maybe those $10.00 kw's aren't the ones I want. If I look at my search logs, the traffic is coming from some really interesting kw combinations, which of course is difficult to duplicate in a manual AdWords campaign.

I want to be clear that I'm not really making light of the AdWords issue. I'm pointing out that perhaps we can all look for some better combinations. Ones that convert, and might be a little cheaper.
