Basic Question About Affiliate Links with SAS
Hi all. I am considering switching all my CJ links to SAS ones for one merchant, as I am frustrated with the java changes at CJ. Anyhow, my question is, do the links provided when you click on "get links" at SAS already contain all the information needed to track a lead or sale back to the affiliate, or do I need to manually enter a special code after their "afftrack=" ? Thanks in advance...

You can just use their codes as-is without messing with the "afftrack=" part. I never mess with it and things work fine.

I think the afftrack= is just for some kind of sub-id tracking (like if you want to associate the clicks/sales with particular users of your site), but it may have some other use. Main thing to me is, the code works without me filling in any afftrack info.

    Hi aderby,

    Welcome to ABW

Ditto what Leader said. All links work perfect as they are on shareasale. No need to add or make changes to them, unless you want to customize certain ones ect.

if you've got multiple sites and are used to using separate pid's for individual site reporting at CJ, can do the same by appending alpha-numeric markers to "afftrack=" stuff - like your site name (or just leave it blank / alone if you want, as the others said, and there's no problems).

Sorry, I put this in the wrong place.

I would make sure this merchant is on auto deposit at ShareAsale.

I have so many merchants that go offline due to lack of funds. At least that is one thing that you don't have to worry about over at CJ.

I wish auto deposit was mandatory but that is an old and overlooked subject around here. I just got through emailing "another" merchant because they are offline again and I am promoting dead links. Yippee!

Ummmmm, at CJ sometimes merchants are left online in spite of lack of funds...................................

At least at Shareasale the chiselers hit a roadblock when the change jar runs empty.
